Davien's P. O. V

"Kian!" I called out upon the realization that the bullet was headed straight at my mate. My body reacted quickly propelling me from my side of the car promptly to his, my arms enveloped his body in a tight embrace, shielding him from the round of shots that followed.

"Davien." Kian gasped watching my body get riddled with bullets, I bit my lip holding back a groan, I lost count at how many bullets penetrated me all at once.

My wounds regenerated and reopened instantaneously, I felt the bitching pain of getting shot over and over again, of bullet meeting bullet in my skin, weakening my grip strength.

My body could heal faster than most shifters didn't mean that getting pumped full of bullets wouldn't hurt. It wasn't like I was bullet proof, the wounds didn't have enough time to heal, and more continued to get inflicted.

I had to get away…
