"Are you really Silvia's mate?" Carol struggled against my grip in a desperate attempt to make for the door, she must've realized the implication of her earlier claim.

"Silvia hasn't found her mate yet, so how the hell is that even possible?" I raised my voice over her grunts and groans, making sure my words reached her.

Carol suddenly ceased her struggle and passed me a glance, "Fuck, you're the last person I wanted to know about this." She spat out in a tone that could only suggest she was speaking the truth.

I let go of her elbow, "Carol, if you don't tell me the truth, I will march down to her estate and things will be chaotic if I carry out what's on my mind." My eyes shifted briefly from their natural hue to a crimson red.
