The Arachnid once sent a spaceship on a distinct planet Eqxtron. During the mission, its crew get annihilated. The research and data they left behind is crucial for Arachnid. So, they send another crew led by Araceli. While retrieving that, Araceli comes to know the existence of Supernatural & Innominate. Cody's (her brother) part in it. This reveal reunites her with the protagonist Edwin Miller. He too, was looking for the same thing.
After losing to Cody. Aolis the sorcerer acquaintance of Edwin, sends him to the realm where supernatural originates to find the solution for ending everything related to it. However, Aolis uses a tampered spell to make this task impossible for him. Edwin survives. And with time he eventually realizes his purpose.
