"This is no time for sleeping." Geodhun landed in the middle of Taylor's chest in a brisk whoosh of air. Taylor's eyes sprung open and she struggled to sit up. Geodhun scooted down her body to perch on her knee. He looked up at her with his bright, intelligent eyes and put his head to one side. "But I must admit that you do seem tired."
"Geodhun! Ulysses and the merman tried to kill me! I nearly drowned in the Sea of Cohr! If it wasn't for Eos, I would be dead!" The words tumbled from her mouth in a furious rush.
The mountain dragon puffed out a long stream of smoke and gazed out across the sea. "I was worried that this might happen," he muttered.
"What do you mean Did you know that Ulysses is not on our side Why did you allow him to come to Everett's cottage if you knew Geodhun, do you know how close I came to drowning back there"
