Chapter 20: Cheers

Their moment was ruined rudely and loudly, interrupted when the rest of the gang poured into the canteen. Silver was pouting as Leech ruffled his hair. The younger boy was slightly. embarrassed about how short he was compared to his older teammate, but that didn't stop him from trying his best to match the group's banter. But humour is a sword forged over time. His still needed a lot of time … hence the hair ruffling he was on the constant receiving end of right now. 

"Cut it out, love; you'll mess up his pretty curls," Aphrodite taunted further. 

  Dagne was still quite quiet compared to her usual chirpy self. She tried to pipe up every few minutes but realised she wasn't all that good at faking her happiness. So, instead, she just laughed along quietly with whatever the group was discussing and tried not to remember too much of her former life.
