Chapter 28: Past flames and a tutu

"Do it again," Leech instructed, patting Raven's leg to adjust her form. They had been drilling the three-move sequence for almost two hours at this point. As far as Leech could tell, there was still endless room for improvement. Her form was still sloppy, and as far as fluid movements go, Raven moved like a cactus in the desert. 

"We've been at this for hours, and you're no better than when we started. How is this possible, Ash?" the grey-eyed boy asked running his finger over his brow ridge. Raven's eyes had a dull red glow while glaring at her blonde instructor. She was beyond annoyed at the Irish ballerina because she planned to fight today and not become a fucking dancer. Alas, her plié was the least disastrous movement in the sequence. Her thighs and carves were screaming in pain at this point and if she didn't stop soon, her legs were going to fall off.
