Just as she was concocting a funny response in her mind, she heard a chuckle in the background. It came from from Esong's side and it was not his voice. It made her wonder if the others could hear hear them or they were being recorded. 

Shoot, the mecha warriors association would ask her about this too if they were listening! Their missions were normally live, watched by officers and higher ups to protect their own and ensure fairness and objectivity in their missions.
