She could easily eavesdrop if she wanted, but Scarlet chose not to. Esong was there with Justin and whatever they were asking, she would find out later from him. 

Instead she turned to face Adler who was physically stretching his ears in an effort to somehow make them function in an impossible way. 

"No matter how much you try to stretch them dear you will not be able to listen to anything." she told him. 

He pulled on the lobes of his ears. "It could happen, you can't know for sure." 

She rolled her eyes in annoyance. "It's called biology you dummy. Ears are not elastic they can't stretch. Why are you trying so hard to listen in on his interview anyway? I don't think he is being questioned about your sleeping habits." 

He sent her an unappreciative glance and she chuckled. Adler was one of those people that tossed from side to side in their sleep. It was not impossible to wake up with his foot on your face if the bed was open and big.
