Chapter 543: Step by step

"Open the doors Alex," she ordered.

Just as she made that order, Justin was standing up and preparing himself to do the same. If Tion would not help him, he could command Alex. His mother had taught him how to control certain aspects of the AI from his terminal.

The doors slid open and that plan was abandoned so quickly. His small body dashed forward like a bullet and he threw himself into Scarlet's arms.

As always, she caught him effortlessly and sat him on her waist, holding him with one hand.

"What is this? Mummy has won her first division two mecha fight. Are you so proud of me that you are hugging me tightly? Wow, I am so happy to know that my baby was watching my fight and supporting me."

All that she said was true but mixed in with a little lie, of course. She was giving the little one a way out, if he needed it.

As expected, Justin hid his head in her neck and nodded. "You were so cool mother, my mother is the coolest."
