In the ancient kingdom of Daran, war has caused the death of true-blooded Daran Queen Haleya and her only son, Prince Akil. This death leaves her husband, King Manos, their little princess, Mayumi, and the whole of Daran to grieve for years, causing their kingdom to become vulnerable enemy targets.

The kingdom of Daran had an abundant resource of minerals, and gold was their major export. When neighboring kingdoms heard of the tragedy, many of them started thinking of ways into capturing the Darans and invading their land.

But King Almiro of Namayan, wise and cunning to his age, offered his only daughter in wed to King Manos. He offered military alliance to Daran in exchange of Namayan people's elligibility to mine gold.

The Darans thought it was a good way to save their city. And not long after, the marriage between King Manos and Princess Hera was proclaimed.

But what true price behind that allegiance were the Darans awaiting to pay?
