Synopsis
Lin Xingwen applied for a job at the teahouse and caught the eye of a wealthy matron, who took him as a live-in son-in-law. To his surprise, the matron was involved with another man; originally, he planned to endure it for the sake of money, but he didn't expect that the matron was genuinely trying to help him. TO ALL WHO HAVE BEEN HURT BY WOMEN IN DEMONIC WAYS. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT READ THIS. You come to hate his wife immediately, and that feeling only intensifies 100 fold... on the day they get "married," she's getting banged in the bathroom by another dude and acts submissive as hell to him. Though on the way to her place after the ceremony, she has this holier-than-thou attitude towards the Mc. Constantly looking down on him, bringing dudes to her home, and when the Mc comes back tells him to leave and not come back till later. Oh, and let's not forget that she also had a girlfriend too. Honestly, she should treat him better, seeing as she needed him. The ml, though, still tries to stay calm and at least act like a husband because he knows that if he doesn't, he goes back to literally having nothing.
