Chapter 48: Eye color

"What do you mean by that, your grace?" Iris was utterly confused by his words. She would have let it be even if he mentioned not liking other people's company but he said that he didn't like being with humans. What does that mean? The world that they lived in had many mystical beings but right now, they were in Findara. And this place was where only humans dwelled. No other supernatural beings were allowed entry into this empire. So she had no other choice than to look at Cassian in a new light, "Are you, not a human by any chance, your grace?'' 

"I....." Cassian was troubled. He was having an internal conflict with himself and his wolf. His sane side urged him to keep his secret of being a wolf until he grows close to his mate. He didn't like the possibility of his mate getting scared and uncomfortable in his presence. While on the other side, his wolf didn't like the idea of lying to his mate. His wolf wanted to be upfront and well, brave in front of his mate.
