Everything kinky in this comic will remind you of the reality of oppressed real women and this story‘s appeal is literally gloryfying it, making you thirsty for something that is actually really problematic, to put it lightly. blade guards' beauty is weakness, MC learns one day before taking the exam (what a great master he has -.-). Be pretty, obedient, passive, support your owner, don’t ever fight, blade guards are too precious for that, oh wth just don’t go anywhere at all without a blade gleam unless you want to be raped, uhhh excuse me, forcefully contracted. You have to excuse the gleams, they just can‘t help themselves! (sounds familiar? sounds like bs to choose that path if you want to avenge your parents' deaths? Oh well, thank god, you can rely on a loving blade gleam for that! After spreading your legs, cough, forming a contract, your gleam will do anything for you. Isn‘t that romantic, gleam and guard depend on each other, aww. To replenish your man‘s chi and fight, you just need to xxx! Urghs!). Oh, and don’t think of disobeying, then blade guards are 'broken' in the court’s official detention center, whatever that means, it‘s never explained because it‘s so cruel that it justifies every alternative. You wish this story was revolving around cultivation, changing society, demons fighting immortals and such - but literally everything just exists just as a nice backdrop for the p*rn. MC has to shove a plug up his a** to save his purity. ML impregnates him to save him from 'being broken', since a pregnant guard has to stay at his gleam‘s side to 'dual cultivate' plenty. And yeah he has to save his master by f**king him, which he doesn’t know until after he said he would save him. I‘m not kidding, this is really happening, this is p*rn before anything. So yeah, if this sounds intruiging, go ahead. You can read this as a kinky guilty pleasure, I‘m not judging, I‘ve read 70 chapters, too, despite my bad conscience. But I thought I could read this for the actual plot and a wholesome love story and it’s just a huge nope. I was hoping MC would show ML the finger and walk away many times. If all this constant oppression of the 'weaker' gender offends you, you should read or watch 'Spirit Pact' instead. The spirit master ML is less of an a**, the dynamic between the headstrong MC and him is extremely fun, there are hot demons, too, and it’s just such a beautiful empowering love story which will make you feel all the same feels as this but with less stress.

Adore this! Just wish it wasnt so glitchy. I can only view it when iIsearch i— aka I can’t use my library for thsi one. Otherwise i love the characters and find the comic very interesting. It does start off slow.

I am not a fan of boy love but surprisingly, this comic book picks my interests! The storyline is very interesting! I cannot wait to find out what happens next.
