Kapitel 450: Beerus VS Alex

(A.N. I got it mixed up last chapter, Beerus is the God of Destruction of Universe Seven, and his brother is from Universe Six. I was writing away from Internet at the time and couldn't double check, and forgot to do so before publishing.)

"We shall see if you are worthy of the honor." Beerus sneered as he and Alex stared each other down.

Despite the fact that he was still looking down on him, Beerus couldn't help but to get his hopes up that this 'mortal' might actually be able to entertain him a bit after their 'greeting'. Alex meanwhile was grinning for similar reasons as this would the first opponent that could genuinely threaten him that he's faced in years.

As the duos respective energies began to skyrocket, they then took to the skies once again before clashing with enough force that the shockwaves buffeted even the nearby galaxies. Meanwhile, Alex was sent flying back once again as the force from Beerus' hit overwhelmed his own, before the god suddenly appeared in his trajectory and stopped his flight with another hit.

"So what are you, worthless mortal who's name escapes me?" Beerus suddenly asked as he scrutinized Alex's body, demonstrating just how lightly he was taking him. "You have the tail of a Saiyan, but I've never seen a Saiyan with a red tail and fur that matched before..." Honestly, he had never seen a Saiyan with fur or the other traits Alex had at all.

As Beerus blocked another one of his hits though, Alex stated,

"I am a Saiyan, but I'm currently in my SSJ4 form! That's why I look different from other Saiyans!" As he finished speaking Alex threw another punch, but instead of being blocked this time, he used Spatial magic to create a portal that opened right next to Beerus' face, letting him get his first decent hit on the god since the fight began.

Rubbing the cheek that Alex had hit, like he was still trying to register the fact that one of Alex's fists had actually connected, Beerus was silent for a moment as if he trying to recall something.

"Super Saiyan....why does that sound so familiar?" He muttered to himself while cocking his head to the side in thought, not even flinching as Alex delivered a powerful kick to his side.

'This is crazy!' Alex thought to himself, even as he was smiling like a maniac. 'I knew he overpowered the SSJ3 Goku like it was nothing, but to think he can even shrug off hits from me in my SSJ4 form like this!'

'He didn't become the God of Destruction in this universe for nothing you know.' Lauren said with a bit of humor in her voice, while even Ddraig chimed in,

Though Alex wanted to comment about how Ddraig couldn't even compare to Great Red in his prime, Beerus suddenly demanded his attention once more as he declared,

"THATS IT!" Everyone looked at Beerus curiously at his declaration, to which Whis asked,

"What's 'it' Lord Beerus?" Beerus looked down at Whis and stated excitedly,

"I remembered the dream I was having before I was so rudely woken up! A prophetic dream that showed me who would become my ultimate rival, the Super Saiyan God!"

While normally Whis would show skepticism at one of Beerus' 'prophetic dreams', this time he looked directly at Alex and uttered, "Oh my..." After all, he HAD been watching Alex for the last several days, and, while he wasn't aware of ALL his trump cards, Whis knew there was still a thing or two Alex hadn't showed Beerus yet.

His excitement growing even higher, Beerus then pointed at Alex and ordered,

"Turn into a god, mortal!" Instead of letting Beerus' commanding tone bug him, Alex just shrugged as he replied,

"Ok, I was thinking of doing so anyways since none of my attacks even seemed to be affecting you." Beerus blinked at that, before muttering,

"Now that you mention it..... I do recall feeling something bumping into me while I was trying to recall my dream..."

This time Alex's brow did twitch as Beerus casually dissed his attacks, tempting him to temporarily remove his tattoos and ask if Beerus could feel it then. With Lauren however reminding him of how that would a be a VERY bad idea, Alex instead closed his eyes and began channeling his divine power.

Though he had long since tapped out the divine energy he absorbed during his battle with all the factions, Alex was still able to enter his 'God mode' whenever he wanted now due to his constant connection to the system of Heaven, as well as the millions of prayers he was receiving daily from the people of Asora, DXD, and surprisingly even Earthland.

So, when Alex opened his eyes once again, they glowed with a brilliant red divine light, before his entire body was cocooned in divine power. Alex's red fur and eye markings began changing to a brilliant blue, while his black hair shifted to the same red his eyes had.

"Oh look, a minor cosmetic change!" Beerus said mockingly as the light around him began to fade, however even he couldn't deny the powerful divine aura Alex was now emitting.

Immediately the both of them moved as they clashed once again, their fists colliding with enough power that a massive fissure formed that split Beerus' planet in half, with Alex on one side and Beerus on the other. Neither one paid any attention to that though as they quickly began to trade a series of high powered blows at point blank range.

"Do you have to take things so far? My goodness..." Whis uttered disapprovingly as he erected a barrier to keep the food from being disturbed.

Glancing over at their fight though, Whis was surprised to see Alex actually gaining the slightest bit of ground as he and Beerus hit the other more than a hundred times per second. Taking a closer look, Whis noticed a foreign form of energy coating Alex's body and hands that was negating a large portion of the damage he was receiving, while also increasing the amount of damage Beerus was taking.

"He's using Haki." Elaine suddenly said, drawing Whis' attention as she explained further,

"It is a type of energy usage from a different universe. Haki itself has numerous uses, Armament Haki in particular specializes in coating the users body in a type of armor, increasing both their offensive and defense capabilities. There is also Observation Haki, which can grant one a form of precognition that would allow them to know how their opponent plans to attacks, or dodge, before they even do it. And then finally, there is the Conquerer's Haki..."

As Elaine trailed off there Whis' attention was drawn back to the battle as a massive shockwave shook them, courtesy of Alex delivering a fist clad in black lightning directly into Beerus' face. The Destruction God was sent flying back with such force, that he unintentionally destroyed the entire half of the planet he was on along with another one of the moons surrounding them.

Then, before he could reorient himself from the hit, Alex instantly appeared directly behind Beerus with Spatial magic and delivered a second punch with his fist clad in Conquerer's Haki. With black lightning coating his arms clear up to his elbows, Alex then followed up and 'clapped' his hands in Beerus' direction with enough power, that the universe itself seemed to shudder from the force as the remaining moons around them shattered into dust.

Beerus himself, never having encountered such a technique before, took it head on and was dealt more damage than he had received in eons because of it.

"Oh my, this is certainly looking quite interesting." Whis remarked as he watched the battle unfold, which he was admittedly looking forward to seeing how Alex would respond once Beerus decided to truly get 'serious'.

"I don't care how interesting it is, THIS IS INSANE!" A new voice shrieked as the only other resident on the planet joined Whis and Elaine, a blue, eel-like fish creature that was approaching them in its floating fishbowl. The other two ignored her however as they continued watching the match with growing interest.

"I must admit, you've surpassed my expectations mortal." Beerus said as he and Alex approached each other once again, to which Alex remarked,

"Well with what I went through to learn this technique I better." As he said that Alex glanced down at his black lightning clad hands, reminiscing on all the battles he had to go through with Elaine before he touched upon actually using Conquerer's Haki to fight directly, instead of just as a form of suppression.

Since he never got a chance to finish One Piece before dying, leaving off unfortunately right before the Wano arc had started, Alex didn't even know it was possible to use Haki this way. After learning this he had began to wonder what else he didn't know about the abilities he already possessed, reaffirming his earlier decision to focus on mastering his current powers over purchasing more through the store.

"That is an impressive technique, but if you think that's enough to defeat me then your grossly mistaken." Beerus said as he instantly appeared directly in front of Alex with his fist raised.

"Let's see how you deal with this!" He sneered evilly, as Alex immediately tried to block the attack with his right arm.

The moment Beerus' fist impacted him though, Alex entire right arm was completely and utterly Destroyed as he himself was sent flying back with more force than he'd sent Beerus flying with. Instantly though Beerus appeared in Alex path and punched him a second time, this time in his stomach, Destroying several of Alex's internal organs in an instant as all of his momentum was arrested.

"GAH!" Alex vomited up mouthfuls of blood as a result of the internal damage he had taken, while even more blood was flowing out into the open space from the stump where his right arm used to be.

Beerus smirked at Alex's current bloody and beaten state, asking tauntingly,

"So, how does the power of a Destroyer feel?" Contrary to expectations though, other than ejecting the blood filling his mouth and throat, Alex smirked and wiped the blood away with his left hand as he replied,

"I've suffered worse on a daily basis!" He then stunned Beerus by using Regeneration magic to instantly undo all of the damage that had been inflicted upon him, including his tattoos.

After restoring himself to peak condition, Alex then stated,

"If you're going so far, then I guess I have no choice but to get completely serious as well! BALANCE BREAK!"

Immediately, Alex was encased in red light that faded to reveal Crimson armor that now covered his entire body, except his head. Before he could begin attacking once again though, Beerus remarked with a deadpan,

"That looks so idiotic..." For a moment no one said anything, before Alex heard Ddraig roaring in his head,

Agreeing full-heartedly, with his partner, Alex stated seriously to Beerus,

"You shouldn't judge things by their outer appearances. This armor is my trump card for a reason!" As he said that Alex held up his left hand to display the jewel on top, as the Boosted Gear roared out,

<BOOST! BOOST! BOOST! BOOST! BOOST! BOOST! BOOST! BOOST! BOOST! EXPLOSION!>

Alex's power then exploded out from him as he powered up to the utmost limit he could take in this form, without compromising his tattoos. As it was, they began glowing yellow from the amount of energy currently coursing through his body, but thanks to being in his SSJ4 form they held out, and no one was able too see them at the moment.

Even Beerus and Whis looked shocked at the sudden spike in power Alex was showing, before he appeared directly in front of Beerus with such speed that space itself began to crumble around him.

<PENETRATE!>

The armor cried out right as Alex's fist impacted Beerus' body, sending the god flying as he vomited blood this time.

<PENETRATE!>

One after another Alex delivered powerful hits that damaged Beerus more than anything he had taken in millions of years, stunning the god as the unfamiliar sensation assaulted his body.

This was because of Alex repeatedly using Penetrate while attacking him, which ignored any and all forms of defense to deal the maximum amount of damage possible. Eventually though Beerus had enough and shouted while releasing as much of his power as he could,

"ENOUGH!" The shockwave from his voice alone had been enough to buffet Alex and prevent him from going through his his next attack.

Once again the duo were staring the other down, except by this point Beerus was covered in numerous shallow wounds. Alex wasn't much better though, as even if he had used Regeneration magic to heal himself he had used up tons of energy in this fight, and was unable to muster any more without compromising the tattoos on his body.

"This will be it." Beerus suddenly said, breaking the prolonged silence as he continued,

"I will draw out all of my power for this last exchange." He said while raising a finger upwards, the tip of which he began focusing all of the energy he could muster to form a ball of energy that resembled a star.

Agreeing silently with his opponent, Alex replied,

"Very well, I'll take that attack of yours and we'll see how things end up from there!" Beerus smiled widely at that, before declaring,

"Very well then! Take this, Alexander!" With his attack growing to similar proportions as a planet, Beerus then threw it at Alex with full intent behind using it to wipe him from existence.

Instead of shying away from the attack, or even using either his 'Energy Nullification' and energy absorption ability, black lightning coated Alex's entire armored right arm as he focused all of his power into it. Concentrating all of his remaining energy into Conquerer's Haki, Alex stood proudly as the dangerous attack closed in on him before swinging his fist at it.

"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-"

Alex shouted as his fist collided with the gigantic mass of energy, his Haki exploding outwards in a storm of black lightning from the point of contact to destroy anything that had drifted even relatively close to the battle.

For several minutes it was a case of 'unmovable object meets the unstoppable force' as Alex fought against Beerus' attack, using every single drop of his strength to fight against it as he desperately pushed back. Meanwhile Beerus was on the other side pushing his attack as much as he could so that it would consume and Destroy Alex.

For a moment the duo were locked in what appeared to be an unmovable stalemate, until,

*CRACK...*

Bolts of black lightning began expanding across the planet sized attack, fracturing it bit by bit until,

*KABOOOOOOOOOOM!*

Beerus' sun-like ball of energy exploded to send its energy throughout the universe in waves, which were mostly harmless compared to its previously disastrous form.

"Well well, this is a surprise..." Whis said as he witnessed the outcome of the clash, in which Alex stood tall and proud, though the armor on his right arm had been destroyed while the flesh beneath was charred black.

*clap clap clap*

The sound of clapping broke the silence as Beerus slowly approached Alex with a broad smile on his face, despite the circumstances.

"That was, without a doubt, the most fun I've had in eons! I thank you Alexander!" Dispelling both the Boosted Gear and his God form, while also healing his arm, Alex replied with his own smile,

"I should be thanking you, you're not the only one who's been looking for a good opponent for a while!" As his arm finished healing, Alex and Beerus grasped each other's forearms like brothers as they shook to the marvelous battle they just fought.

With everything calming down, Whis approached the duo and coughed lightly to get their attention,

"Ehem! I'd hate to interrupt, but I feel I must point out to Lord Beerus that we are currently homeless." Blinking in surprise, Beerus looked down to see that their battle had completely destroyed his planet to the point that it was just a few bits of rubble floating through space.

Before he could, blow his top about it though, Alex quickly said,

"It's ok. Elaine can fix it up immediately, and then we can sit down for some food." His ears twitching at the word 'food', Beerus quickly said,

"You better have brought something good for me to eat after destroying my home like this! Or I might just have to return the favor Alexander!" Waving away Beerus' threats, Alex quickly said,

"It's no problem, and you can just call me Alex." Even as they were talking, Elaine was already moving as she swiftly restored the planet to its previous state, as if nothing had ever happened to it.

...

"So what did you come here for anyways?" Beerus skillfully asked through a mouthful of food as they began to stuff their faces.

Though Whis and the Oracle Fish were both elegantly snacking on the food that survived the battle, both Alex and Beerus had their own mountain of food in front of them as they both eagerly stuffed their faces. Elaine naturally stood behind Alex as his dutiful maid, showing just how well Grayfia's teachings had been instilled into her.

Unlike the god though, Alex swallowed his latest bite of food before answering,

"There's something things we need to talk about so you're up to speed with everything that's been going on, including the tournament that's going to be taking place in six months." That caught Beerus' attention as his ears twitched once again, and he asked,

"Tournament?" Alex nodded and was about to go into further detail, but before he could a new voice supplied,

"It's something the Dragon Emperor came up with for the people throughout the universe to display their strength, showing everyone else what they are capable of doing." Everyone turned to look at the newcomer, a portly man with pink skin, pointed ears, and a kind expression on his face.

Beerus' eyes widened slightly in surprise and recognition, before he asked,

"The Grand Supreme Kai? Weren't you eaten by Majin Buu five millions years ago or something?" In response to Beerus' inquiry, the Grand Supreme Kai could only chuckle wryly before answering,

"Yes, I was. However the kind Dragon Emperor here saved me and my fellow Kai from that horrible fate, while also granting us new bodies. Though we're not too sure how to feel about them being made of Majin Buu's flesh." As he said that the Grand Supreme Kai demonstrated by pulling his entire arm off his body, showing them how he was now made of the same amorphous substance that Majin Buu was.

In between bites Alex quickly explained,

"It was nothing. I just immobilized Majin Buu while on the planet of the Kai, then used his own body to create 'clones' in the forms of the Grand Supreme Kai, the Southern Kai, the Northern Kai, and the Western Kai. After that I pulled their remaining spirits, which had been trapped within Majin Buu after he ate them, out, and placed them within their new bodies before killing him." (A.N. Before people look it up on the wiki and throw a fit, I'm doing it where Buu ate all three of the other Kai aside from Shin in order to prepare to fight the Grand Supreme Kai)

Though Alex acted as if he hadn't done anything worth mentioning, both Beerus and the Grand Supreme Kai gave him incredulous looks. Meanwhile Whis chuckled as he said,

"Ohohoho! I was going to ask how you'd like to take Lord Beerus' position as this universes God of Destruction, but it appears as if you'd be more suited for a different role with your skills." Though his remark earned Whis a glare from Beerus, Alex just shrugged before saying,

"Not necessarily, I understand the importance of a Destroyer needing to make room for new growth. However I'd have to decline on the grounds that such a position is too low for me." Not just Beerus, but the Grand Supreme Kai and even Whis blinked slowly in surprise from his comment before the former asked,

"The position of the God of Destruction, the most powerful being in their respective universe(A.N. Aides like Whis don't count), is 'too low'?" When Alex just nodded slowly without answering due to a full mouth, Beerus mockingly asked,

"What position would you settle for, the Omni King?" Though he wasn't being at all serious, Whis still gave Beerus a pointed stare at such a careless thing to ask. However they were even more shocked when Elaine this time stated matter-of-factly,

"Even that position is too low for Alex's ambitions." Dead silence answered her words due to the sheer shock the trio felt, as each of them gave Alex very different looks.

Such words would normally be completely discarded as utter nonsense, but with the skills Alex displayed along with his strength, the three of them couldn't help but to be worried about the future peace of the Seventh Universe. At that point though, having finally swallowed the food in his mouth, Alex said himself,

"I wouldn't worry too much about that. After all, it's not like I can even do anything with the Omni King at the moment, and even if I could I wouldn't necessarily want to." As he then went back to eating after saying his piece, Elaine asked him,

"But what about Ophis? If you needed to she would be a match for the Omni King." Alex nodded slowly at Elaine's suggestion, and replied when he was able,

"True, but I promised Ophis that I wouldn't make her fight or use her. Having her be the Guardian Deity of Asora is one thing, but sicking her on the Omni King like a hunting dog is something I would never do." Throughout Alex and Elaine's conversation the trio of beings before them only gaped at the thought of a being equal in power to the Omni King, the pinnacle existence that was capable of 'erasing' entire universes with a mere thought.

"If you don't mind my asking..." The Grand Supreme Kai spoke up hesitantly, drawing both Alex and Elaine's attention before he continued,

"Who exactly is this 'Ophis' that you've been referring too?" Without a single care Alex immediately replied,

"The Dragon God of Infinity, who possesses infinite strength, power, and existence." (A.N. In case any of you forgot I mentioned before that Ophis was originally a being on the level of the Omni King, she just never had a reason to use that much power and was unintentionally nerfing herself until Paul broke into Asora)

Naturally, hearing that Alex had a being that actually represented the concept of 'Infinity' in his pocket was a bit too much for the trio. Even Whis was dramatically affected by this info as he debated on wether or not he should alert his father, the Grand Minister who directly served as the Omni King's attendant, and was one of the most powerful beings in the multiverse after the Omni King.

Before he could reach a conclusion though, a voice suddenly said within Whis' head,

'Do anything to compromise us, and I'll personally erase you from existence myself.'

Just barely suppressing the urge to jump in alarm, Whis subtly glanced in Elaine's direction to find her watching over Alex's pig-out session. However he couldn't shake the feeling that all of her attention was on him, reading even his thoughts and intentions.

Though he had never feared the thought of erasure before, Elaine's threat was something completely new to him making Whis increasingly both cautious, and fascinated by her. That was why, after a moment of thought, he mentally replied,

'Very well, I won't say anything to my father.' Though she gave no physical indication that she heard him, Elaine voice echoed within Whis' mind once again as she said,

'Good. Behave and I'll make sure neither the Omni King or your father hold you accountable for keeping us a secret.' And with that Elaine's presence completely left Whis' mind, leaving him with even more questions than before regarding who, and what, she was.

However it appeared that would be all that he'd gleam about for the moment, as Elaine continued watching over Alex while he ate, and the Grand Supreme Kai filled Beerus in on the last few days, and Alex's plans that he knew about for the future of their universe.
