Kapitel 178: 7th Form!
Yami looked at the Temari ball demon and figured that she was a strong demon but the balls were moving in erratic patterns. Yami jumped outside and looked at the woman demon, either she's manipulating the balls or... He looked at the second guy and saw the arrows in the eyes on his hands.
Probably him.
The Temari demon said "Huh? You don't speak? What are you mute?!" as she threw more Temari balls at Yami, who sliced them in half and moved forward towards her. He lunged forward and ducked under her swing, she looked down and Yami looked up before jumping off the ground.
He swung up and she moved to the side as Yami sliced off half a leg and her right arm. She jumped back and growled "You little brat!" as her arm and leg regrew immediately. She took her upper kimono off and 4 more arms sprouted from her torso.
Yami backed off and sheathed his sword, looking at her with an expressionless face. Tanjiro came outside with a paper on his head. Yami said "Tree." Tanjiro nodded and ran towards the male demon, who was hiding in a tree.
Yami looked at the woman, who grinded her teeth and summoned 6 balls, shouting "What's with that look?!" as she threw the balls at Yami, who closed his eyes and took a breath he held the hilt and said softly "Oni Style: 7th form- Raijin's Wrath." he swung his sword out and moved in between the balls, slashing them all in half before spinning around and jumping up, slashing down on the demon.
The purple haze formed into a lightning bolt and came down with Yami's sword. The woman demon jumped out of the way with scared eyes, but she was just a bit too slow. Yami sliced her in half from the left shoulder to the right hip.
Half her body fell to the ground but the other half still had three arms and a very angry head. She threw three temari balls at Yami, who blocked them all with his sword as he said "I can hear your fear, demon." the woman was truly scared.
Yami flickered and sliced her remaining arms from her body. He stomped on her head and kicked it to Tamayo. Yuchiro caught the head and shouted "What are you doing!?" Yami said "Blood." before running to Tanjiro.
Tamayo quickly drew the blood from the Temari demon before her head crumbled to dust and disappeared along with the rest of her body.
Yami came to Tanjiro, who was on the ground with his sword in his mouth. Yami and Tanjiro looked at each other, before Tanjiro dropped the sword saying "Hey!" Yami sheathed his sword and sheathed Tanjiro's as well.
Yami said "You should never drop your sword, it doesn't like that." as he helped Tanjiro up and gave him a healing potion from his backpack. He had all these since the first trip to the Soul Society, he even had an endless bag of candies inside.
Tanjiro drank the Healing potion and his wounds healed immediately, he said "Wow, Yami! Thank you!" Yami nodded and Tanjiro smiled goofily. Yami gave him his sword and helped him back into the house as the sun rose.
Yami sat on the ground and held his sword on his lap as he smoothed out his Kimono. Zerotwo had given it to him the same night he came back from the Final Selection.

He caressed it softly, he knew it was just normal materials. He could hear the warm song coming from it and it made him smile. He put it back on over his Demon Slayer uniform and rested, processing his fight against the Temari woman.
There were a few adjustments he needed to make.
A while later
Yami decided to leave with Tanjiro, Yami's crow landed on his head and said softly "South, South-East." Yami didn't say anything, just nodding. The crow stayed on his head and another crow came, shouting "SOUTH, SOUTH-EAST! YOUR NEXT ASSIGNMENT IS SOUTH-EAST!" Tanjiro said "I understand, can you please relax?" the crow started pecking Tanjiro's head, shouting "I SAID SOUTH-EAST!"
Yami looked at his crow and they nodded at each other, seemingly coming to an agreement on something.
They were all distracted by a sobbing shout "MARRY ME! YOU HAVE TO! I'LL DIE TOMORROW! I NEED THE SWEET EMBRACE OF A WOMAN BEFORE I DIE, DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND!?" Tanjiro and Yami looked at the yellow haired kid, Yami grabbed the kid and Tanjiro talked to the girl. The kid was going ballistic about marriage and the girl slapped him before stomping off, claiming that she has a fiancee.
Yami was confused and muttered "It would've been fine if she didn't?" nobody answered him and he sighed. The kid introduced himself as Zenitsu and screamed "I WAS HOPING TO DIE IN THE FINAL SELECTION BUT THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN AND NOW I'M GONNA DIE ANY DAY NOW! EATEN BY A DEMON AS MY BRAIN IS SUCKED OUT THROUGH MY EARS WHILE I'M STILL ALIVE! AHHHHH"
Yami slapped him and Zenitsu calmed down before shouting "Why did you slap me!? Don't you see?! I'm going to die a horrible death!" Tanjiro gave him a look and Zenitsu shouted "WHAT'S THAT LOOK FOR!? YOU'RE LOOKING AT ME LIKE I'M SOME PITIFUL CREATURE!"
He pointed at Yami and said "ARE YOU EVEN LOOKING AT ME?! I CAN'T TELL!" Tanjiro said "Relax, 'kay?" Zenitsu clawed at his cheeks and screamed, but Yami slapped him again, the Tanjiro slapped him and they took turns.
A while later
They were walking on the road again, Tanjiro said "Better?" Zenitsu said "A little, but now I'm hungry." Tanjiro dug out a rice ball and smiled as he said "Here, have one of these." Zenitsu took the rice ball and ate some before asking "Are you guys not going to eat?" Tanjiro replied "That was all I had."
Zenitsu split the rice ball in half and said "Take this half." Yami ate candies behind them and watched as they continued walking and talking, apparently they all had the same mission. Tanjiro's crow shouted "Run Tanjiro! Run Zenitsu! Run Yami! Your mission is up ahead!" before repeating himself over and over again.
Zenitsu collapsed on the ground and writhed as he screamed "THE CROW CAN TALK! AAHHHHHHHHH!" Yami and Tanjiro looked at each other before starting up a new round of slapping.
*Give me your stones! So close to 7th! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh*
