 Corban's POV

"Hey, Corban" Was Jotham's greeting as I strode into his office to take a seat on one of the adjacent chairs.

He barely looked up from the documents on his desk, almost like he was expecting me.

Either that or he has managed to grow an extra eye on the middle of his forehead.

Nah. That sounds rather unlikely.

Not sharing the thoughts running through my head I responded with the same informal calmness, "Yo, bro. What's up?"

"Nothing much, I just have these documents to skim through."

I hummed and watched him do his thing for a few minutes. In those minutes, I saw the way his eyes remained fixed on every word, the way his brows furrowed deep in concentration, the way his lips were puckered deep in thoughts.

"You look like you are made for this position." I leaned into my chair, smirking at him.
