Kapitel 30: Anna

(Author's Pov)

(Mark became froze at his place, at the sight of his wife lying on the bed with a lot of syringes machine which is pinned to her skin. Only one word left on his lips, "ANNA".

He didn't know what to feel. He didn't know why he feel like his breath can stop any moment if she didn't open her eyes. He hates her, but the thought of losing her, he can't handle. He doesn't want to admit that he wants to forgive her but he can't. Eventually, a lone tear escaped from his eyes at the thought of losing her.

He lose many peoples in his life whom he loved once. Once upon a time, she was also his loved one. And after the incident, he started to hate her, but when she came again into his life, he feel something in his heart that he didn't want to admit. He binds his mind to hate her, but now he is not in the state to hate her or punish her.

He spare a glanced at his wife and went to meet the doctor who was patiently waiting for him.

He knocks at the door.)

Doctor: Come in.

Mark: Hi doctor. What happened to my wife?

Doctor: Oh, so you are her husband. You know your wife fell from the stairs. Right?

( Mark nodded.)

Doctor: Your wife will be fine so only, I'm sorry to invade your personal life but as a doctor, I suggest you treat your wife nicely. I don't have any grudges for you and your personal life, but if you don't treat her nice then maybe one day you lose her. Apart from her injuries, I found many uncertain marks and bites on her body as if she got raped. By looking here, I can say she is so weak, even her body feels like it can leave her soul anytime. When we treated her, she kept murmuring for forgiveness and something.. Mr. Mark, I'm also a woman and I can feel her. She needs treatment both physically and mentally. I hope you understand. For her medicine, I have already given the list to her brother.

(Mark didn't know what to say. A pool of guilt rushed through his vein. He knows that this time he went too far.

He went to his room and sit beside her. He held her hand, he didn't know what to do. On the one side, he wants to assure her that he is with her and on the one side he didn't want to forgive her. It's not that easy for him. He sighed heavily. His heart is not at peace. He rubbed his thumb over her bruises. He didn't know if she deserve his forgiveness or not. He didn't want to forgive her easily, but on one side of his heart, he wants to erase all bad memories of the past and wants to start a new life with her. But when he closed his eyes, one picture came into his eyes. Of his dead parents. And the person who is responsible for everything. And she is. ANNA.

He leave her hand and run his finger through his hair in frustration, he stood and left the place in a second. He didn't want to feel anything towards her. He went to a bar where he could erase all his frustration. )
