Kapitel 13: Exploring The City
Alex woke up as the sun ray shone through the window, the birds are chirping and people outside start their everyday activities. Lucy already left and leave a letter on the table.
[Alex, I couldn't be with you all the time so behave yourself and take this as a relaxing vacation. You could go to the breakfast room and the waiters will know you are arriving, make sure to not be late to eat your breakfast.
PS: I left some money on the table so you could buy whatever you want.
Another PS: Don't make me catch you playing until afternoon.

Alex grinned, today he could do whatever he want around the city and with his master's money. He's gonna explore the whole city but before that, breakfast.
After taking a quick hot bath, Alex is in the middle of deciding.
"Hmm, should I wear a robe today? Maybe to hide my sword but the sword will still be too noticeable and I don't want anyone to confiscate my sword just because I'm a child with a dangerous weapon. Anyway, I should just use my dagger for today." Touching his chin while saying his thought out loud.

Exiting the room, he locked the door and goes down to eat breakfast. He was greeted by one of the waiters.
"Mr. Alexander, I presume?"
Alex felt a little embarrassed but he need to get used to it.
"Yes?"
"Madam Lucy has informed us about your breakfast, you could find table number 20 on the left side."
He nodded. He was hungry and didn't waste time looking at his surroundings.
He quickly found the table and sat on the chair. He felt some gazes around him but shook his head and ignored them.

After eating a luxury breakfast, he goes outside, and it's time for exploration.
"Now, what can Sapin City offer me?"
(To be honest, I'm lost after this and thinking about this gave me a headache, so it took me a few days only to write 400 words, which is ridiculous for most writers.)
Strolling through the city, he admires the scenery. After all, he hasn't seen how most Dicathen look, as his parents isolate him from the outside world for fear of losing their son.
While strolling through the city, he found a shop that got his attention. He entered the shop and found out it was a bakery.
Alex's eyes were astonished. He quietly and swiftly went to the worker and asked, "What is this good-looking food?
Of course, Alex already knew the food, but while it was the same-looking food, He was sure the flavor would be different than the cake he ate in his previous life.
Like a cute kid who first see chocolate, the worker smiled at Alex, "We called it cake, and it only cost 5 silver. Do you want one?"
Alex grabbed one gold and put it on the counter, "Could you give me that strawberry one?"
"Alright."
"Ah, you can keep the change."
The worker seemed to be flabbergasted, but quickly composed herself and nodded gratefully. Alex can see that around him, people look at him with envy, except for that interesting little girl that minds her own business eating a pie.
With a smile, Alex approached the girl and asked.
"May I join you?"
Because of the hood, she was wearing, Alex couldn't clearly see the girl's face, but she knew that she was just a young girl.
The girl only gave a curt nod.
"Thank you."
Alex quickly sat and took a good look at her face... And to his surprise, it was a face he vaguely remembers.
"Ah, let me introduce myself. My name is Alex, I do hope my presence isn't bothering you."
The worker arrived and put the strawberry cake on the table.
"Ah, can I have one more? But can you wrap it?"
"We can do that, customer. Is that all?"
"Yes, that's all. Thank you." Alex nodded.
Alex before he could eat the cake. He can hear someone saying something in front of him.
"...Kathy." She quietly said.
Alex smiled, "Then nice to meet you, Kathy."
Soon after, Alex ate happily the strawberry cake. His eyes are gleaming as he continues eating the cake in delight.
The girl stared weirdly at Alex, she was sure Alex is the same age as her but he's weird than most nobles. Actually, Kathy thinks that Alex was noble because Alex easily carries many gold coins and he easily gave out gold coin to a commoner.
But she's actually doubtful either if he's was noble since he was too nice of arrogant brat nobles he knew and his ways of eating are not "dignified" like most noble kids.
She shook her head, she doesn't need to overthink it.
Meanwhile, Alex's mind already concluded who the girl in front of him was Princess of Sapin and Kathyln Glayder.
Alex's first impression of Kathyln is: He likes her.
Not in a romantic way whatsoever.

She is quiet and rarely speaks. Alex prefers quietness in his life, but that doesn't mean he dislikes Lilia, who is rather chatty. Alex's premonition sometimes works better when he's with someone quiet, and he knew Kathyln and he would get along well. (I don't know the fuck I'm writing on this paragraph but I prefer to keep this)
Coincidentally, they both finished eating their food. Maybe because Alex was a fast eater but that's doesn't matter, Alex took the cake he ordered for his master.
Both of them go to the exit and before they part away, Alex said.
"Let's meet again if fate allows us, Kathy."
Before Kathyln could reply, Alex disappeared from his spot in a blink of an eye. Kathyln's expressionless face looks in the direction Alex disappeared to and walks away.
(I am trying to accurately portray Kathyln's personality and this is the best I could do)

Alex didn't come back to the inn after that. He still had some time before afternoon, so why not spend time doing something outside?
Alex spends time watching the outside world. He goes outside Sapin city and watches the outskirts area. While not as crowded as in the center of Sapin City, it was enough to erase his boredom.
He could see the kids were playing and some activities, such as farming, could be seen. Alex is a commoner, not a noble.
Alex's eyes have some sadness in them. He doesn't have many friends. He admitted to himself that he isn't the type to make friends. While he seems friendly on the outside, Alex doesn't want to easily befriend anyone.
He's busy training to be stronger, which has caused him to be an outcast. His parents may view him as a normal kid with talent, but the truth is that he's an adult in mind, which is something he feared telling his parents.
But there would be a day when he would tell them the truth, and Alex was afraid that his parents, whom he had learned to love, would leave him just because he was different.
Alex sighed, he broke his promise again.
"I shouldn't overthink it, but my mind couldn't stop thinking about it."
Alex looked at the sky and realized that it was already afternoon.
"Damn, it was this late?" Alex runs back to the inn, using mana to enhance his legs.
Arriving at the inn, he found out that the door was not locked. He quickly entered the room and found out that his master is already there.
And oh boy, his master wasn't happy. Lucy's angry and semi-expressionless face makes Alex shudder.
"Where have you been?"
"Uhh? Outside?" Alex was a bit hesitant.
"Be specific!" Lucy shouted.
He took the cake from his back and gave it to Lucy, "Master, this is the gift I have for you!"
Lucy blinked, "What is this? Are you trying to distract me?"
"It's a strawberry cake." When she heard that, her ears were perked up.
She opened it and put it on the table, "On the second thought, I'm not angry anymore."
Alex let out a sigh of relief and Lucy elegantly ate the cake. Alex wondered if his master was a noble but shook his head. He was exhausted and needed a shower.
