A knock interrupted the tension within the room.

"Your Highness, the carriage arranged by the palace has arrived."

Genevieve smiled at the two of them, "I shall be taking my leave, Duchess, Sir Johanson. Thank you for your hospitality."

The way she spoke had some sarcasm causing the mother and son duo to turn red from anger but they couldn't rebuke or say anything more as Genevieve had already lifted her dress and walked out of the room.
