Kapitel 19: Sebastian's Anger

It was the aftermath of war.

Fields blackened with ash and blood. Shrouded in a thick veil of smoke, the sky above seemed to weep with sorrow for the fallen.

Small fires burned in scattered pockets, casting flickering shadows over the corpses that littered the ground. Broken swords and battered shields lay strewn about, remnants of the violent past weeks.

The silence was deafening, broken only by the cawing of carrion birds that circled overhead, their sharp eyes scanning for their next meal.

The air was thick with the stench of death, and the taste of copper lingered on the tongue.

As far as the eye could see, bodies lay in twisted heaps, their lifeless eyes staring up at the overcast sky. It was a scene of destruction, a monument to the cost of war.

THUD...

The sun peeked through the clouds, casting a soft, golden light over a man.
