Zusammenfassung
Pete was an ordinary guy. He didn't get out much. But he had a decent job and hobbies that kept him busy. And a brother that he could rely on and so Pete was content with how his life was going.
Well, until he made a robot that killed him. Yeah, it totally wasn't his own fault.
Turns out, the afterlife would have to wait a little longer to claim his soul. And so he is sent to a world he created as a hobby novelist and fan fiction writer. He took the pokemon world and gave it a dash of realism. Anything that made sense to HIM was changed about the pokemon world.
And that's the world he is about to be thrown into. With no mission, no goal. All he should do is live a life worth living.

I'm kinda just writing this after I read one too many pokemon fanfics (god I love Borne of Caution) and I wanted something that didn't revolve around Ash or someone replacing him to become the next poke champ. I have a few plotlines ready, but I'm not even fully sold on all the pokemon I want to add.
Definitely taking suggestions, though keep it non-legendary and preferably Gen I-III (because that's where he lives. The MC can't keep getting lucky finding all the super rare pokemon from regions halfway across the globe)
Taking suggestions on the female lead, too. Comment in the MC POV chapter at the end or leave a review with your top 3 pokemon waifus. If I see a Vaporeon there I'll drop this fanfic (possibly).
So my MC will likely choose farming and/or breeding as a profession, probably a good amount of research sprinkled in on the side. It's what I would do for sure and this is pretty much a self-insert. Even the MC's name is a play on my real name.
There's no levels, no system, no talent-tiers. Sure there are pokemon with higher and lower talents, but no egghead sat their butt down and color-coded it all in my world. This is my take on what reality with pokemon would look like in the pokemon world.
The MC is starting in Kanto (on route 27 just between Kanto and Johto), but will open up his farm in Johto. That's Gen2.
I'll start with chapters that have 3k+++ words, but eventually it will go down to 1.5-2k I reckon. Still trying to catch some motivation to continue my other 2 fics. And honestly I'm just procrastinating my original story with this...

Yes!! I find another pokemon fanfic‚ and I like the synopsis‚ and of course I hope the Waifu is Mommy Cynthia! ❤️
Awesome story and while making the pokemon world super realistic, it's not like those other super edgy fanfics that are just plain depressing to read
I stoped at chapter 23 because even in this chapter mc not even starts on the goal of starting a farm, the story is extremely slow with author focusing on completely mundane things like cooking, idle conversation ....if he added slow paced tag and slice of life I would understand. Another thing is that mc is a complete and utterly morron that constanl6 go out of his way to share important information with others, with author giving a excuse that it's mc talking about his hobbies like it's no possible to talking withou revealing so much. And it's really anoying how he receive rare itens and pokemon without even trying(I'm not talking of there's are he received from that mysterious being

Character and story development is pretty much dead on the mc part outside of having 100 pokemons that don't do much.
is an interesting start of a pokemon story with the nice twist of not trying to to be a trainer of the next champion but relaxing farm life in the pokemon world with the challenges that would bring. char development if at a steady pace and not to many characters thrown in. fun choice of pokemon moving away from the pike clone's
I’m not one to write a review but this fic is well deserving of it. The slice of life living in Pokémon is captivating and just all around fun. P.S (author: my favorite Pokémon is Absol just though I’d stick that in there)
I only have one critique. You describe smiles as "warm" near constantly. Everyone, person or pokemon, gives "warm smiles". Why? Why is that repeated so much that I'm losing my mind every time it appears? There are a variety of ways to describe smiles or even better, they don't need to be mentioned that much in the first place. Loving the story other than that.
I'm so Impressed with this story. The time line is not too slow and not too fast either, its just right enough for proper character development. I liked how you used an under rated pokemon as a starter because I love Reuniclus, especially Shiny Reuniclus. The Idea of a pokemon farm is so unique and interesting and rarely seen in fanfiction so I appreciate it so much. Keep up the great Work.
overall a great story. original path and a very interesting concept. may be one or two things I'd tweak but thats preference related not quality related. definitely suggest for everyone to read it.
great story so far, great world building, its more grounded as well so no op sistem or gold fingers and what not. The most interesting thing for me is the our mc's goal he dosent want to be a champion in all of the regions or the very best like bo one ever was, nope he just wants to farm take care of his mons and some research here and there, all in all a good read.
amazing writing but too many pokemon (two mincinno's). this is a slice of life though, so dont expect battling or any real training because the mc doesnt seem to care about being the very best.

HONEST REVIEW!!! 5/5 Without a doubt. This story is an amazing take on Pokémon with unique premise attached to it. The author took the world of Pokémon and gave it a realistic but enjoyable twist that unexpectedly doesn’t come off as “Dark” or “Cringe” like other fics would do. This is a SLICE OF LIFE! So while there are fights scenes it is not the focus. Speaking of fighting, the battle scenes are incredibly detailed to the point where you clearly know what is going on and what a move does. But as i said it is a slice of life. The mc is a Breeder/Professor/Farmer. The story expanded on what Barry’s and Moves can do to the world and how even if there not the Miracle that are shown in the games it is still incredibly op. The characters are well thought out and don’t really feel like they are introduced but then thrown into the background, but instead are given there own storyline which makes them feel human. Now onto romance. While the author COULD have made it a harem as the signs where there they instead made it a solo romance that is not only incredibly cute but also well thought out. Overall an amazing pokemon fic that should be more well know.
