Kapitel 10: 10 Shinku Yuhi
Konoha.
Ninja Academy.
The sky was calm and clear, unlike the playground of the ninja academy, all the excited kids gathered as the combat exam was about to start.
Thup!!
Time passes as eventually everyone who needed to participate arrived, Naoki with a relaxed face standing in the first row.
"With how calm you look, I think I have to be careful if I end up fighting you"
Unknowingly Tsunade had arrived next to Naoki, his relaxed look only increasing her solemn look, honestly saying out her thoughts to him.
"Not just me, it's better to be careful no matter who you face in life"
*Am I so boring to talk with?*
Said Naoki casually giving a shrug at the same moment, Tsunade in his response easily sensing the non-interest to talk further, kinda feeling awkward.
It felt like she was annoying him.
*Has he really forgiven me for that?*
Suddenly Tsunade thought of there first meeting when she had attacked him, if he hasn't dodged, her punch would have broken a lot of his bones.
Though she had apologized and Naoki had acted like it was no big deal, but from day one he has shown lack of interest.
Naoki who had his focus on the chunin teacher, didn't knew his casual attitude had made Tsunade think of stuff like this.
The mental age gap with his classmates had subconsciously made Naoki develop no interest in a talk with them.
He wasn't being arrogant or anything, for him the topics his classmates discussed mostly were too childish, so even if he talked with them, he'll always try to end it quickly.
"The combat exam consists of 1 on 1 battle, every student will only fight once, through that battle we'll evaluate your practical abilities"
"So please give your all in the fight, now whose name will be called please come to the center, the rest please stand on the sidelines"
Finishing his words, the chunin teacher pointed towards the big circle drawn on the ground.
Thup!!
The students who stood at the center all moved towards the sideline, clearing the ground for the imminent battle.
*The First Battle*
"Shinku Yuhi!"
"Kawano Naoki!"
"Both, please come forward"
Said the proctor after announcing the participants of first fight.
"Shinku Yuhi, he's ranked fourth overall, although I wanted Naoki to fight among the top three"
"Yeah, though we can't underestimate Shinku, he's not gonna be an easy opponent"
The kids around discussed Naoki's opponent, who was actually a top contender earlier to be in top three.
But the sudden emergence of Naoki and Jiraiya made it not possible, still Shinku was not someone to be underestimated.
"Thup!"
Amid the discussion of everyone, Naoki arrived at the circle drawn on the ground, his opponent arriving at the same.
Black hair, ringed red eyes and a blade fixed on his back, with a stern look on his face, Shinku gave off a strong aura.
*Shinku Yuhi...if I'm not wrong he's gonna be the father of Kurenai Yuhi...a strong opponent indeed"
The name rang a bell as after a deep thought, Naoki finally remembered who this boy before him was, getting even less screen time then Tenten.
"Remember this is not a battle to death, depending on the situation I can stop the fight, now on my count to three, start"

Clink!
The right hand of Shinku reached onto the hilt of his blade.
2...
Naoki's left hand slipped into the ninja pouch hanging on his waist.
3...
*Whee!!*
The countdown was over, shinku who was around 2 meters away from Naoki, pulled out the blade completely, lunging at him.
*Keng*
The blade cut through the air as it approached Naoki's face at quite high speed, but at the last second a kunai appearing between it, the kunai and the blade colliding.
*Ha!!*
Shinku didn't seem disappointed at his blocked attack, turning his blade to blunt side as it slided on the kunai, the friction creating a screeching sound.
Sliding, the blade arrived at the edge of the kunai close to the fingers of Naoki holding the kunai, seemed like any moment it would slide off completely, taking a few fingers of Naoki with it.
"Thud!!!
But the changed occurred at this moment, watching the blade approaching his fingers, he didn't let go of the kunai and just jerked it upward.
*Wooo!!!!*
Shinku's both hands were holding the hilt of his blade at the moment, but the moment Naoki jerked his left hand holding the kunai, the blade in the hands of the former feeling as heavy as a mountain, a painful expression appearing on his face.
A massive force transmitted through the blade, without any resistance it slipping out of his palms, shooting towards the sky.
But Shinku didn't have anytime to even think about his blade shot towards the sky, a fist gradually enlarging in his eyes.
