Kapitel 1: A Tiny? Disaster

The vast realm of Aspahld Nova, also referred to as the Land of Magic, stands as one of the largest kingdoms of the world, encompassing nearly half of the earth's surface. the people who are citizens of this kingdom possess exceptional proficiency in magic, believed to be a divine endowment bestowed upon them.

Seated on the hill, a boy repeatedly tosses a rock into the air, catching it each time. Suddenly, his attention is drawn to something. "A fire...?" he whispers to himself.

In the distance, screams of terror and cries can be heard as numerous townspeople frantically run about. "A fire, a fire!"

"Someone save me!"

"Mom?!"

The story commences in Vinwise, a humble town where a young lady named Mai Minamoto resides in the suburbs. Her lovely and charming face set her apart from other women. She had long, amaranthine hair that accentuated her slim figure.

The tunnels echo with the sound of heavy huffing and panting. "Jeez, I'm going to be late for my graduation!" She stopped by the gates of her university, reaching for air. "Ah, praise my father's hard work, only to have brought an ill-mannered and tardy daughter into this world!"

A loud crash echoed from behind her, prompting her to look back. To her surprise, a massive fire had erupted where she had just been moments ago. "What?" she questioned, still panting. "I have to go back!" She turns towards the direction she had just left, briskly walking and then breaking into a run in a panic. As she returns, she finds her mother hiding behind a bush of hay with three others, while her father flounders, battling off the bandits.

Her father raises his open hand, positioning it downward and aligning it with his eye. With a tired breath, he mutters, "5th level, Strike of Thunder."

The Strike of Thunder struck multiple men from the bandits, diverting the attention of others in the vicinity. "Kill him! We can rise to the top as Monarchs if we do! He's a knight!" they shouted, unleashing flaming magic that sent Mai's father crashing to the ground.

A tall, fierce-looking man with a serious demeanor, sporting an eyepatch that barely covered his whole eye, approached her father. He grabbed him by the collar, intent on causing harm.

"Dad! No, get away from him!" Mai yelled at the top of her lungs, her voice becoming hoarse with desperation.

She crumpled to the ground, caught in the crossfire. Turning to look back at her mother, she witnessed her being seized through the stomach, an overwhelming expression plastered on her face. Mai felt utterly clueless about what to do.

"Mom!.." she attempted to yell, but her voice had been worn out from all the previous shouting. She watched in despair as the entire town crumbled around her, her mother's arms reached out to her with her remaining energy, requesting one last embrace. She looked at Mai from a distance with a faint smile. Her eyes losing their spark right before her own eyes and then, her arms fell. She was dead.

"Mai, get out of here now!" Her father yelled, Mai's head flipped towards freedom. Amidst the adrenaline coursing through her veins, she didn't spare a glance back at her father. She ran, and ran, and ran—her ears deafened, heart pounding, and head clouded in a haze.
