Kapitel 149: I Will Cross Over

"H–How is it?" Chen Ru asked nervously upon seeing Song Zhuyu's face turning as dark as the bottom of the pot. 

"He's not picking up," Song Zhuyu pinched his brows with an annoyed sigh. "Just what is he so busy with?" 

There was actually another possibility lurking in the back of Song Zhuyu's mind, one he was reluctant to entertain: that Chief Song had gotten into an accident which rendered him unable to answer the call. However, it was such an unpleasant thought that he'd rather believe the older man was simply buried under a mountain of workload and hadn't even had the time to check his phone – although the chances of this happening was low. 

As the Chief of the Special Department, Song Juwei was required to be within contact at all times to respond to any unforeseen circumstances. Now that he didn't even pick up his phone…

"Can I have my phone back?" 46 deadpanned. "The five minutes you're asking for is up."
