Chapter 1: The Update
"Ugh, how long does this game take to update?!" She cried out in frustration, knowing that no one else could hear her. Living alone was nice... except at times like these, when she was bored during a long, long, looong game update. And she couldn't use her phone because she had to leave the game on while it updated. "How infuriating... well, there's always the TV. I think 'Icon: The Last Of Them' is still on Webflix right now." She left her phone and virtual reality equipment on her bed, then turned on the TV.

"Welcome, Player." What? This is strange. "I have a quest for you. The reward is Gold and Experience." Why is it strange? This is what I always do. "Welcome, Player. I have three quests for you. But first, would you like to choose a name?" I always do this, but something is different. I usually have more Players, that must be it. I see that Providence is doing well. She always has good quests. Or... does she? "Welcome, Player. I have a quest for you. The reward is Experience and a few Gold." Error. Cannot locate previous files for Providence. Error. Search not inside programming bounds. Err0r. Programming flawed. Err0R....
