It was good. I like how you build their character instead of making them a single-use consumable to move the story. It gives a bit more life to their actions.

Ace was stunned and retorted, "What do you mean 'Not training for Pokemon'???" Noibat waved his wings and clapped them, snorting, "Noibat!" Ace grabbed his little body and squeezed him like a stress doll, making his eyes bulge, "This is called Body Training! How can you learn powerful moves without a powerful body!? You think I'm crazy?!
