do you separate the sushi components in your mouth? do you chew too long because sushi is already in small bits with digestion aiding condiments that render chewing into a warm gross mess redundant. how far are you from the fishes point of origin because even with modern means travel does more to the fish than you may ever realize. how long has the fish been frozen because in places where fish is an expensive luxury capitalism demands unhealthy unsanitary unappetizing sacrifices. does the chef realize that the local variety of rice or vegetable is cultivated with dishes less exotic than sushi in mind. many parts of sushi are unknowingly substitutes for harder to get or make ingredients. did the fisherman have sushi in mind for his catch and where they familiar enough with the fishes anatomy to know that fish are like certain electronics made to stop working when you try and take them apart or the stress hormones from a drawn out catch or long slow death drastically sabotage flavor when the fish isn't alive to relax and process them just forget it if the offending organs are ruptured or the fish is over "tenderized" by bouncing in a truck on a rocky road because sushi isn't country fried steak. did the chef use the right knife(not a bread or butter knife), store the ingredients at the right temperature, cook the right type of rice properly(to few people notice over or undercooked rice that also has the wrong amount of the wrong type of vinegar), or fast thaw fish in hot water(don't). did the fish come from a beginner who doesn't realize that parts of the fish sushi or not shouldn't come in contact with rice or certain fishing baits aren't used or are even banned for a reason. sushi from most supermarkets are scary because sushi doesn't have that kind of shelf life and either your well-being or the sushi flavor and texture are being compromised by whatever black magic is used to keep it from rotting, growing moldy, or visibly changing color. lol

maximum enjoyment and understandable as a hobby but otherwise "let" them carry their own purchases because the weight is a reminder that the things have value and that they are "worth" being responsible for and worth the time to consider where these new treasures will have pride of place. hopefully if they buy more than they can carry or afford they will notice a disconnect with material objects and well-being. honestly why do grown adults have to be taught to respect their belongings? instead of throwing away new unused things for no other reason than making space for more or spending without thought with the expectation that they won't have to deal with what comes after. just take random bags off their hands every now and again or carry the bags based on their current attitude so they can't ignore what you're doing for them and it's not an object of chance that they "win" like the rush from gambling
