Capítulo 25: For the last time.

At the engagement party.

Eva was standing beside Leo smiling happily for other people the looked like they were a happy couple. Not able to stand the fake show that she was putting he pushed her hands away roughly " Don't you think that you are overacting. " he pushed her hand away again

Eva was very angry but she kept her behaviour in check she didn't want to do anything that embarrasses herself in front of everyone tonight is a very important night for her and her image cant be ruin.

" Congratulations to the young couple. " Eva father hugged his daughter and then Leo.

And of course, as expected Eva went along and by went along she overreacted " Thank you father. " she spoke with her head low as if she was shy making Leo more disgusted by her.

" I'm very happy for you both. " uncle Antonio spoke " Leo please take care of Eva she is my only daughter. " uncle Antonio patted his daughter head as he spoke.

" I will. " Leo said in a cold tone. His face was expressionless.

After her uncle, Antonio left to greet the guests Leo and John went outside. Leo felt like he was about to suffocate if he stayed near that women any longer.

Join saw his friend looking at the small house that Rosa was living in with her parents. He could see the sadness in his friend eyes. Rosa was his source of happiness and now she is gone.

" She told me that she can't stay here. Join spoke to see his friend smile like he had heard a good news

Leo was smiling because he was happy. Her words mean that she has feelings for him but he also was sad that he caused to experience the feeling of being hurt. He protected and promised that he will never hurt but he did the very thing that promised to not do.

He wanted to see even for just one last time. He wanted to apologize for what he caused but it's useless and it's better to leave her alone what he had done was enough. He could only hope that she will forgive him someday.

" Now what. Are not going to see her? " Join asked

" No. Let her live happily away from me. It's better that way. " Leo replied

After the party ended Leo shut himself in his room. He wanted to be alone. Looking at the empty bed he sighed remembering the times that Rosa sometimes fell asleep while they were playing or talking and he would pick her up and lay her on the bed. She was always telling him that sleeping on his bed makes her sleep better he smiled at the memory. He wondered if she will be comfortable in her new bed. God, he wanted to see her and hug her tightly in his arms. He wanted to hear her voice and see her smile.

Leo was lying on the bed when he heard the door being opened he frowned he had locked the room when he came and no one had the key to his room except for Rosa.

Could it be his Rosa has come to see him? sitting up on the bed his eyes were fixed on the figure that was standing near the door. The room was dark except for the moonlight that was coming from the windows.

" Rosa," he called her standing up and walking towards her.

Rosa shivered when she heard his voice. she wanted to. stay away to forget everything about him. But she couldn't. She couldn't stop herself from coming here and see him for the last time.

" Rosa. you are here. " Leo pulled her into his arms. No, he wasn't dreaming his Rosa was here in his arms. her scent enveloped his senses calming his troubled soul.

She wrapped her arms around his waist and buried her face in his chest. She didn't want to talk or say anything she just wanted to stay like this. understanding what was in her mind Leo picked her up and walked towards the sofa. he sat down with her in his arms.

Rosa blushed. realizing how intimate their position was. She was sitting on his lap with her legs on either side of his body.

" I missed you. " she heard him say. Both of them stayed silent just enjoying each other company for the last time.
