Capítulo 18: A Tasty Dinner
Yun Che decided to prepare some simple dishes which he usually makes at his home but seeing the ingredients provided by Cang Yue, he was muddled and went through his memories which he acquired from his predecessors to find something which can aid him in this situation.
He tried dwelling deeper and deeper into Xiao Che's memories. The more he progressed the more annoyed he became.
According to his hazy memories, all the past Xiao Che did was crying or toiled his time playing with his Little Aunt or passed his time doing nothing. He only came to the dining hall when the delicious food was readily served. Never did he even pay a visit to the place where cooking was done.
On the other hand, the previous Yun Che ate food which was very delicious at first as it was specially cooked by Su Ling'er with love and care but later on because of chasing and running, he never got to eat any tasty food. Everything he ate was absolutely tasteless!
*Sigh!*
Yun Che can't help but let out a sigh in disappointment.
Earlier Yun Che didn't have to bother with such as his body consumed the profound energy gathered from his surroundings and Jasmine is in her spiritual form so no need for it to even give a thought. But as the circumstances have now changed due to Cang Yue, he had to do it.
'....Might well practice it, if in the future Jasmine acquires her own body, ...I had to do it anyway' thinking it this way made Yun Che feel somewhat better.
The system decided to help Yun Che and popped up a new notification.
[Host, Ingredients are updated in the Shop feature along with Furniture and Clothes]
The usual mechanical voice felt like a melody to Yun Che's ears this time.
Opening the Shop feature, he scrolled down checking the available ingredients. He let out a sigh of relief as all the required ingredients for making one of his favorite food are already present there. He didn't have any problem making the food now!
"System, why are you, unlike any systems I have read in novels from my previous life? Aren't there any functions which can make me gain instant mastery of all the battle skills or something of that sort?" asked Yun Che puzzled.
[Ding!]

[Host, System's primary task is to assist you in conquering all the universes in a limited time]
[As of now, the system's features are mostly locked and will be unlocked only when certain criteria are fulfilled]
[Even the Shop feature which the Host is currently using is not yet fully opened]
[Just remember Host that the system will always be by your side and will never leave Host in a difficult situation]
"I am counting on you then," said Yun Che cheerfully as he felt lucky having a system like this.
Yun Che eagerly tapped on all the required ingredients and they soon materialized in front of him.
He started preparing the meals for Cang Yue and for himself. As he was half-way into completing the meal. An idea popped into his mind.
Taking the dish with his hand, Yun Che started kindling it with fire using the affinity he acquired from Evil God's Immortal Blood. He adjusted the required temperature and started roasting it, neither too fast nor slow.
Evil God had perfect control over all elements. He was also known as the "Creation God of All Elements". And Yun Che possessing one of his legacies and having the Fire Seed, using it for cooking would even make the Evil God spat out a mouthful of blood.
'It's just for training' Yun Che justified himself.
Meanwhile, Jasmine in the Sky Poison Pearl watching Yun Che making use of Evil God's Fire affinity for cooking remained speechless.

(Inside the Tent)
Cang Yue sat inside the tent waiting for the completion of the dish. She often consumed food pills these days as she fled away from the Blue Wind Palace and had no rest as dark circles were gradually formed under her eyes.
She took out food for her flying profound beast, Little Snow, and fed it through the seal on her palm as it began to glow. She began caressing the seal gently after that.
Cang Yue's eyes slowly closed. She began reminiscing what happened so far. How evil her brothers were seeking after the throne. And Fen Juecheng pursuing her even though she declined to marry him many times. Tears welled up in her eyes.
As a tear was about to fall on the ground, she was jolted awake as an aroma spread inside the whole tent. Quickly wiping the tears, she went out and was amazed looking at Yun Che cooking dinner.
Yun Che was almost about to complete his cooking and saw Cang Yue coming out of the tent.
"Dinner's about to get ready!" said Yun Che and continued to make the side dishes.
Cang Yue felt guilty that she had to make him do all the work and gave a helping hand to Yun Che. She was a princess before so she was accustomed to this. But now as things changed, she had to change for the better.
"Hand me that one..."
"No.... not this... that."
"No.... no... That one...."
....
The silent night was now filled with noises all over made by Cang Yue and Yun Che.
Many profound beasts far away from Yun Che's location silently gazed in the direction but their instincts were screaming inside not to meddle. So, not one dared to approach Yun Che's tent.
Dinner was made and quickly served.
Cang Yue took a look at the food cooked by Yun Che. It looked different from everything she saw.
As a princess, she ate numerous dishes on a daily basis but the dish ahead of her seemed completely new but the smell it exuded soared her appetite and she can't help herself from taking a quick bite.
The food melted on her tongue and stimulated her body with pleasure.
"Aaah!...!!!" She unconsciously let out a moan but promptly covered her mouth with her hand.
She glanced at Yun Che and saw him not bothering with her at all instead was fully immersed in munching on his own food which somehow made her feel disappointed.
"...It's tasty" Hiding her blush Cang Yue said.
Yun Che didn't raise his head and just gave a nod and continued.
".....Why do you still wear your hoodie?... Does your face look that bad?" Cang Yue couldn't help but ask as she was curious.
She earlier showed her appearance to him but till now he hadn't even removed his hoodie let alone allowing her to take a look at his face. She sneakily tried to look at his face when Yun Che was busy cooking but no matter how many times she tried, she failed.
Yun Che not only got his clothes but also the hoodie from the Shop feature enchanted with this special effect. So, no one can take a look at Yun Che's face unless he wants it to. Cang Yue assumed that Yun Che had a scarred face or something and he couldn't afford to show it.
Yun Che didn't reply and continued to eat his dinner.
