Capítulo 287: CHAPTER 287: Come Close
"So she chose not to face you," Reginald sighed.
Asherton shook his head.
"Her burden at this moment is quite heavy," he then said.
They can clearly see her decision without her saying anything.
Her not facing them meant one thing.
'I don't want to talk about it.'
I am actually regretting making her promise back when they just returned. If I knew that they will be facing so much, I wouldn't have added more in her burden," Reginald said shaking his head in defeat.
He sighed heavily again.
"A guilt of the whole world," Reginald spoke in a serious tone.
Reginald looked at him before chuckling bitterly.
"A guilt of the whole world indeed," he repeated.
"I'm sorry," he then sincerely added.
He was not standing in front of Reginald as the emperor at this moment. Instead he is standing as a junior sincerely apologizing to his senior.
"I don't understand why it must be those two pairs of siblings. Why it must be those children who suffered like this. But I do know that it was not your fault nor anyone else."
He looked straight in Reginald's eyes, "It was her decision and emotional barrier that made her give you that promise. It is because she just couldn't really speak about it that everything went like this. I know she will be fine, she can be emotional now but surely she will still be able to stand back up. That is how strong that child is. We are saddened yes but what else can we do other than to believe in her?"
"You're right, we can only believe in them, in her. That all of them will be able to get past this hurdle looming above their heads," Reginald finally said without the heaviness in his tone.

"My lord?" Flora asked when she felt the changes on the person beside her.
His aura was turning colder and more sinister.
His shoulders started shaking and then he started laughing out loud.
"Fools, they are indeed fools. Not knowing who their enemy is and even though they knew, tehy still chose to hide it. These people are really fools."
He kept laughing and laughing.
When he was finally done, he turned to Flora.
"Go and get Samuel, the two of you will continue what the other two were doing."
"Why should I? She is unscathed, my lord. She can do all these jobs," Flora coquettishly answered.
She had been bathing on the fact that the lord took fancy on her instead of Raynisha because back when they were still alive, it was always Raynisha who was loved.
Raynisha always looks down on her.
Now their roles were switched, she was now the one looking down at Raynisha.
She wouldn't want to do things again while Raynisha sits and rests, she hated it a lot.
The personn beside her glared at her.
"I am not telling you to take her work but instead I am telling you to disturb them more with the memory you are holdinng now."
The glare was short but Flora felt her whole body turn cold.
"I... I understand, my lord."
She stood up and walked away, her long violet mermaid dress swayed with every sway of her hip. The way she walked was obviously seductive, she was obviously trying to seduce the dark lord into caling her back to his side instead of sending her out.
Because in the end, she still felt that she didn't need to lift a finger since Raynisha was there anyway, she can do everything while Flora, herself, stays sitting like a queen.
She stomped her foot on the ground after stepping out of that place when the dark lord didn't call her back. It seems that he really was intending on sending her out.
In the hallway, she saw Raynisha walking towards the room where the dark lord is.
She glared at her and deliberately bumped into her.
Raynisha was expecting her action and so she was able to stood on her ground when Flora deliberately bumped into her.
Seeing as she didn't succeed, Flora chose to push her instead, "Don't think you are favored just because he made you rest."
After that she finally left angrily.
Raynisha looked at her walking away before returning to her walk towards the room where the dark lord is.
All through out the ordeal, there was no change in her expression.
"My Lord," she knelt in front of him.
"Come close."
She stood up and walked towards him.
She was wearinng a long dress, with long sleeves.
As compared to Flora's dress that was a tube type and has a slit on the side that reached just below her hip, despite being long, Raynisha's dress was hiding almost everything.
Yet all her curves could still be seen clearly.
The Dark Lord took hold of her hand before pulling her down to him.
She ended up sitting on his lap and looked straight in his face.
She can see him clearly but somehow if it was someone else, his face was enshrouded in darkness, not allowing one to see his face.
He raised another hand and touched her cheek.
A wound was visible in it.
A wound that Saphira had given her in their last battle.
"Your beautiful face is smeared by this.'
He swiped his finger and the wound disappeared.
Just like Saphira, who can heal wounds inflicted by darkness. He can heal wounds of his people inflicted by light.
"There better."
After saying that, he placed his hand at the back of her neck before pulling her face close to him.
His cold lips landed on hers while his hand moved from her nape down to her back where the zipper of the dress was.
He pulled it down and his other hand pulled her dress off of her.
The reality was that, even though he allowed Flora to stick with him, he never touched her.
Instead while everyone was not around, he would be with Raynisha.
A bed was behind the chair he had been sitting on and soon the both of them are lying there, a black blanket covering their bodies.
"We are close to taking the next step," he said to her.
Raynisha simply nodded, even though her face was still flushed, her expression remained indifferent.
The Dark Lord seemed not to mind as he once again turned and went on top of her.
