Capítulo 637: Different Type of Magic Test
"Oh? Show me then, I do truly hope that what you're talking about is something good." Yuki said in a cold and deep tone as she looked at the man in front of her and even with the mask covering Yuki's face, the man got shivers down in his spine just thinking how he was being looked at. Because even if he doesn't see it, he can feel it clearly, he felt like a little rodent in front of a lion that was ready to devour him if he made the wrong move.
"I'll be glad to show you the way then," Damian said as he walked stiffly and awkwardly towards the room on the right where the Magic Test is held when Yuki saw this, she couldn't help but chuckle as it seemed that she unintentionally made him like this without even doing anything to him.
"Why are you so nervous, Instructor Damian? You do know that I'm younger than you by a few centuries, right?" Yuki asked with an amused tone as she put both her hands in her pocket as she casually walked beside Damian without a care for all of the people that were staring at her.
When Damian heard Yuki's question, he paused for a second. He now also begins to think why he was acting like that right in front of a junior who is not even half of his age, this made him embarrassed as he couldn't believe that he was acting as if he was the junior and that Yuki was the senior between them.
"Yeah, I'm sorry that you have to see that. But I couldn't help it myself, because just the way you talk, how you lift yourself makes me think that you are actually wiser and even somehow more powerful than me. My instincts told me that and I couldn't help but respect you which made me realize that I was actually wrong. I'm ashamed of it and I apologize." Damian apologized as he looked straight at Yuki's eyes and when he saw her casually nodding her head he felt relieved that he wasn't laughed at.
As the two finally arrived at the room, Yuki saw that the room was quite big but it was empty apart from the single machine that was in front of her, it oddly looked familiar to the ones that she was used to seeing. It has the same appearance as the old machines that test how much Qi a person has, but for that machine to work, one would just need to put their hand on the machine and feed it your Qi/Mana and it would show you how potent and powerful your Magic is.
But even though the machine in front of her looked somehow the same, Yuki could tell that it was entirely different at the same time.
"This is the machine that I told you. It's different because you actually need to manifest your Qi around your surroundings because the way it works will make illusionary structures or even some natural environments such as mountains. Now the reason it makes such things is that you are going to use your Qi to destroy your surroundings, you know like an aura." Damian said as he then turns on the machine to show Yuki how it works.
Just as Damian explained, there were tons of structures that appeared right in front of her, but it wasn't just structures that appeared, even her whole surroundings changed. A few seconds before, they were just inside of an empty room, but now she was in a huge mountain range, and seeing the thing that Damian needed to destroy. Yuki felt something inside her burn in excitement.
This was the kind of Test that she wanted, the kind of test that she craved for. She wasn't in for that kind of useless number or scale Magic Devices, for her it was useless because it was simply too hard to visualize your Magic Power in numbers. So with this kind of Test where she will actually see how potent and powerful her Profound Chaos and Chaos Power are right now, she has been training every single day without a break once she got it which was already quite some time now.
"Hehehe, I'm assuming that there is difficulty in this Test, right?" Yuki asked as she approached Damian and when he saw this, he could clearly tell how fast Yuki's mood shifted. It went from being cold and bored, to now more revitalized, and the thought in his head that he was not wrong in assuming that she was very powerful despite her age.
"Yeah, usually you will start with the lowest level, which actually has the same Ranks of our Cultivation, so it goes from Essence Gathering all the way to God level. But it is also a Test for everyone because I'm sure you can just imagine how it would look or even feel if you were at the Saint Level but you can't even beat the Overlord Level. The reason I said this is because it actually happened." Damian took a quick pause to concentrate before unleashing his massive aura that even made Yuki almost fall to her knees because of how powerful it was.
"Haa… I still can't beat Saint Level it seems, it's too hard. I can't even crack it. As you know, even if you are at God Rank Cultivation, it is useless if you don't try to manifest and empower your Qi to the fullest. That one event alone actually made that person take their life because he couldn't show his face to anyone after his attempt, he was a Saint Cultivator at that time, but he wasn't even able to manage to defeat the Essence Lord." Damian said in pity as he explained to Yuki.
"Pfft… I'm sorry to laugh, but that is an absolute disgrace. Despite being at the Saint he or she can't even finish Essence Lord level, but don't get me wrong. Even though it is a disgrace, the thing that I find disgraceful is him or her taking their own life, I find that complete stupidity." Yuki laughed when she heard that the Saint Cultivator actually took their life was just too much for her and she couldn't help but laugh because of it.
"Well… I can't really blame him, he was shamed by all the people. Even his family shunned him because of that, he went from being so glorious to even something worse than dirt." Damian said in regret as if he knew that person personally, but with one just look Yuki already knows that Damian is connected to that person who committed suicide, but she's not concerned about that.
"I'll give it a try… I'm quite confident in my powers after all~" Yuki said calmly.
