Capítulo 243: Distraction

Lily took a deep breath, letting the tension of the past few days melt away in Cage's embrace. After a few moments, she pulled back and managed a small smile. "Thank you, Cage. I needed this."

"Anytime," he replied, his voice soft yet reassuring. "Now, let's get you something to drink. How about some tea?"

Lily nodded, appreciating the simple gesture. She followed Cage into the kitchen, feeling a strange mix of excitement and nervousness. They had just started seeing each other, and there was so much she still didn't know about him.

As Cage prepared the tea, Lily leaned against the counter, watching him work. "So, Mr. Cage, what exactly do you do when you're not rescuing damsels in distress?"

Cage chuckled, glancing over his shoulder at her. "You know I'm a lawyer. Mostly corporate law, but I handle some pro bono cases too. It keeps me busy."

"Hmmmm—I see." Lily's eyes sparkled with mischief. "I bet you have all kinds of interesting cases."
