One by one, the performers started to arrive backstage. Seats were gradually filling up as the audience streamed into the theater building of Elite High School.
Jiang Tianhao quickly ran over to Ye Bai's spot. "Brother Bai, our outfits look great today," he greeted upon seeing Ye Bai's attire. Ye Bai was wearing a cat pajama costume.
Ye Bai smiled, "You guys look good too." He glanced at their outfits: yellow sweaters, yellow shorts, white caps, and white shoes.
"Haha, I came up with our uniform. How's it?" Jiang Tianhao posed, showing off his clothes even more.
Miaomiao approached them. "Hey, Haozi, go back to your spot; you're our opponent today. This is where the Social Science students sit."
Jiang Tianhao burst into laughter upon seeing Lin Miaomiao. "Miaomiao, why are you dressed like that? Your face is covered."
Lin Miaomiao was wearing a chicken sweater with a yellow hood that could be zipped up to cover her face.
"We call this the mysterious effect. You wouldn't understand," Miaomiao responded, teasingly.
"Haha, you think you're the only ones with surprises? Just wait and see what we have in store," Jiang Tianhao replied to Lin Miaomiao's taunt.
"Haozi! Enough with the banter; we're about to perform," Sun Chuanchu called out to Jiang Tianhao.
"Good luck, good luck," Haozi cheered for the both of them.
"Good luck!" Miaomiao and Ye Bai replied simultaneously.
Lin Miaomiao unzipped her hood and peeked at Ye Bai. "What do you think of our costumes?" she asked Ye Bai cheerfully.
"Cute!"
"That's it? Don't you have anything else to add?"
"Okay, cute, great, your costumes look beautiful," Ye Bai answered teasingly.
"Hmp! That's enough; let's go over there to the side and watch Haozi's performance," Miaomiao invited as she pulled Ye Bai to watch Jiang Tianhao's performance.

"The next performance is by the male high school students of 2-1 Natural Science. They will present a creative dance titled 'Strength and Beauty.' Let's welcome them with rounds of applause."
The male students from the Natural Science class were already on stage, and as the music started playing, they began a synchronized dance routine.
As they watched, twins who were members of Lin Miaomiao's group approached her.
Wang Di was watching the stage. "Lin Miaomiao, didn't you say they were going to rap? Why did they change to a group dance?" she asked curiously.
"That's right, they lied. Yesterday, I asked them, and they said they would rap. Liars!" Miaomiao answered indignantly.
Jiang Tianhao's team danced really well; their performance resembled a workout session at the gym.
Wang Di's sister, Wang Deng, was amazed by the performance. "So cool, just like our performance. Are we still going to act or not?"
"Why wouldn't we?" Miaomiao answered nonchalantly.
"But we can't outdo them. It's so embarrassing."
Filled with fighting spirit, Lin Miaomiao looked at the opposing team. "We believe in ourselves; we'll surely do fine. Let's try our best," she said, punching through the air toward the rival team.
Ye Bai tapped Lin Miaomiao's shoulder and looked at the twins. "Have confidence in your team, Wang Di, Wang Deng. You guys practiced a lot, and I found it really amazing," he cheered them on.
Then wild cheers spread throughout the surroundings. Jiang Tianhao and Qian Sanyi removed their yellow sweaters, revealing their six-pack abs to the audience.
Ye Bai also joined in the cheering. Jiang Tianhao's group wore long-sleeved shirts with muscle and abs prints, making it seem like they had muscular bodies. The joy of the audience was evident.
As a finishing touch, they all posed like bodybuilders.
The cheers intensified, especially from the girls watching Qian Sanyi's every move.
Jiang Tianhao and Qian Sanyi walked to their position, but Lin Miaomiao and her group moved away. They were next in line to go up on stage to perform.
"How's our performance?" Haozi asked as he leaned on Ye Bai's shoulder.
"It was great," Ye Bai replied. "Your outfits look awesome."
"Qian Sanyi was the one who found these muscle costumes for us," Jiang Tianhao said. "They suit us, but I'm not sure about Sun Chuanchu."
They both glanced over at Sun Chuanchu's position, where he proudly displayed his six-pack abs. They chuckled at the sight.
Sun Chuanchu turned to them and playfully slapped his stomach. "Are you guys belittling my abs and laughing at me?" he jokingly asked, earning laughter from the surrounding group.
"The following performance is by the female students of 2-6 Social Science. They will be presenting 'The Little Chicken Dance.' Let's give them a round of applause."
The audience applauded as they waited for the next performance.
The sound of a rooster's crow resonated through the stage as the lights illuminated.
Lin Miaomiao stood up, her hood zipped up, and as she began dancing, she unzipped her hood and blew a flying kiss to the audience.
Ye Bai watched the dance, entertained by Lin Miaomiao's moves, which were quirky yet cute. He glanced at the audience and saw smiles all around.
But Jiang Tianhao and Qian Sanyi had a different reaction. "Lin Miaomiao still dares to make fun of herself," Haozi whispered.
"It's not that she's making fun of herself, but rather her mental problem," Sanyi answered.
Watching the performance, Tianhao remarked, "After we separated classes, our class became less interesting. There are too few female students."
Qian Sanyi nodded, looking at Lin Miaomiao's figure. "The one who added charm has left," he murmured.
"What did you say?" Haozi moved closer to Qian Sanyi due to the cheers from the audience.
"Nothing," he answered.
Ye Bai didn't hear what the two were talking about as he was busy happily recording a video of the performance on stage.
As the music ended, the crowd stood up, applauding the entertaining performance by the female students of Social Science.
Ye Bai stopped recording and rushed to the backstage. Quietly, the male students of Social Science entered, clad in cat costume pajamas similar to Ye Bai's clothes. "Do you all know the steps?" he asked his groupmates.
"Yes!" they all replied.
"Let's surprise our female classmates by performing with them," one student chimed in.
Ye Bai smiled. After finishing his song, he thought of including his male classmates and creating simple dance steps to make the stage more entertaining than just him performing alone.
Lin Miaomiao's team walked back to the backstage and found their male classmates also in costume.
"Ye Bai, are they performing with you?" she asked, pointing to their male classmates.
"Of course, are we going to let you girls beat us?" Ye Bai replied jokingly, earning cheers from his companions.
"The next performance is presented by the male students of class 2-6 of Social Science. They are called 'Catlover' and will present 'Be My Cat.' Let's give them a round of applause."
Lin Miaomiao clapped happily, touching the cat hairband that Ye Bai had given her and placing it on her head. She also noticed that her female classmates were wearing cat headbands given by the male classmates to every female in the theater. Many audience members were also wearing cat headbands.
A cat's meow echoed as the piano started playing, accompanied by rhythmic drumbeats.

Hearing the lyrics, they now understood why they were given cat headbands. The females in the audience shouted the loudest, feeling like the song was meant for them.
Lin Miaomiao watched the person singing on stage, noticing how he was sparkling. However, she felt a bit annoyed because she noticed the female audience's eyes were fixed on Ye Bai while he sang and danced.

Wang Di looked at one of her classmates. "I didn't know he moves so well," she remarked, eyeing a classmate who was dancing with Ye Bai.
This sentiment was echoed by every female classmate of the Social Science group as they watched their male classmates perform on stage. They realized that the talent of their classmates was not far behind that of the Natural Science male students.
Perhaps after this performance, Ye Bai's male classmates would individually thank him for the performance they had put on.
Jiang Tianhao noticed the reactions of the females to the stage performance. "Ye Bai really performs well. I thought he would just sing, but he can rap too."
Qian Sanyi nodded, agreeing that the song was good. He also noticed that every female student was now wearing a cat headband. "Look, Haozi, did you notice that the female students are wearing cat headbands?"
Jiang Tianhao glanced over and indeed, he saw it. He took out the headband from his pocket, the one Ye Bai had given him earlier. 'Brother Bai, You really are my brother,' he thought. "Sanyi, I'll be right back," he said to Qian Sanyi.
"Sure, I'll stay here and watch," he replied.
As Jiang Tianhao exited the stage, he immediately spotted Liang Yunshu near the exit. He walked slowly towards her and noticed that she wasn't wearing a cat headband. Gently, he placed the headband on her head.
Liang Yunshu was surprised and turned around. Seeing Jiang Tianhao behind her, she touched the headband on her head and realized what it was.
As the song neared its end, the audience stood up and cheered. Liang Yunshu looked around to see if any students were watching them. When she saw that everyone was focused on the stage, she leaned towards Jiang Tianhao and gave him a quick peck on the lips.
Jiang Tianhao was suddenly shocked and touched his lips. His mind couldn't comprehend what had just happened, but his heart and lips couldn't stop smiling. He moved beside Liang Yunshu, and his pinky finger intertwined with hers as they watched the performance come to an end.

In the final performance, Deng Xiaoqi confidently walked onto the stage, carrying herself with pride as she prepared to perform a solo dance. Her performance was characterized by its seriousness, with each movement brimming with emotion as she interpreted the music with vivid expressions.
As Deng Xiaoqi concluded her dance, she executed a graceful princess bow towards the audience, acknowledging their presence and appreciation. In response, the audience erupted into applause, showing their admiration for her captivating performance.

In the quiet corner of the playground, Ye Bai and Lin Miaomiao sat together on the swings, observing the students heading towards the theater building.
Ye Bai couldn't help but admire the tranquility of the moment as he gazed at the stars above.
Meanwhile, Lin Miaomiao also looked up at the stars and gently touched the cat ears on her headband. "Your song was cute. You should send it to me too," she remarked to Ye Bai.
"Sure, I'll send it to you when I get back home," Ye Bai replied, still captivated by the stars.
"What are you thinking, Ye Bai?" Lin Miaomiao asked curiously, sensing that something was on his mind. She held his hand, looking at him intently, feeling a hint of concern.
Turning to Lin Miaomiao, Ye Bai contemplated for a moment before speaking. "Miaomiao, what if you woke up and found yourself in another world?"
Lin Miaomiao was taken aback by the sudden question. "I don't know. That's never crossed my mind," she replied, her gaze drifting into the distance. "But if I ever found myself in another world, I would embrace it and cherish every moment."
"What if there's a time limit?" Ye Bai asked, causing Lin Miaomiao to feel a pang of unease.
Looking at Ye Bai, Lin Miaomiao's heart sank. "I'll still make the most of it. How long it is?" she inquired, her voice tinged with concern.
"What if there's only 2 years left?" Ye Bai's he responded. He suddenly felt a sudden squeezed on his hand and look at Lin Miaomiao. He saw her eyes welling up with her tears.
Panicked, Ye Bai stood up and rushed to Lin Miaomiao's side, wiping it away. "Why are you crying? It's just a hypothetical question. Please don't mind it," he reassured her.
Lin Miaomiao nodded, wrapping her arms around Ye Bai in a tight hug. She knew him well enough, he was not a person who will asked randomly. Despite wanting to believe she was overthinking, she couldn't shake off her worries.
"Sorry, Miaomiao," Ye Bai murmured, unsure of what exactly he was apologizing for – making her cry or his own uncertainty about the future.
As Lin Miaomiao began to calm down, she chuckled softly. "Alright, Ye Bai, I'll head back to the dormitory now. See you tomorrow," she said.
Ye Bai nodded and watched as Lin Miaomiao hurried off towards the dormitory building. She glanced back and waved, prompting Ye Bai to wave back until she disappeared from sight.
Returning to the swing, Ye Bai resumed his gaze at the stars, pondering over their conversation and his life.
