Capítulo 8: Chaos Ensues
Kingdom of Dragonborn, Thorneheart Villa
A few seconds had passed since the awakening began, and just like Arthur expected the current household was engulfed in complete chaos
The meeting room alone where the awakening had taken place from its former beautiful appearance looked like something a storm had gone through
Covered in scorch marks from what seemed to be an extremely hot flame, the room gave off a foul burning wood and cloth smell
The surrounding drapes and curtains were torn down, while huge vines protruded from the ground giving off a dangerous aura
In fact, even the door which Arthur had used to enter the room earlier had been torn down leaving only a gaping hole where it once stood
"Damn it! Sylas! Just what did you do to my little Arthur!"
"Could it be that you are a spy from an opposing empire sent here to assassinate Arthur because of his talent?"
"Or you're one of the scum of the grand dukes faction who which to overthrow the empire"
Filled with unprecedented rage at Arthur's situation, Sephrina began to yell all kinds of accusations as she summoned vines from underground to strangle Sylas in place as she began confronting him
And unfortunately, for him who was only a fourth-order mage Sylas couldn't even begin to resist before he was so helplessly tied up by her vines
Not only that but Elias a sixth-order fire mage was currently on the verge of erupting with the surrounding temperature increasing with his mood
*Boom! *
Not giving Sylas a chance to reply, Elias hurled a fireball at him which then hit the nearby wall only after brushing his cheek and burning off a few hairs in the process
"Sylas, although I don't want to do this but even if you're a mage from the royal capital if anything happens to my son, I will turn you into a pile of charcoal no matter the cost!"
Saying this with a smile that wasn't a smile, Sylas seemed to feel a chill run down his spine as he faced the enraged husband and wife
*Damn why did I forget that before these two got married their nicknames were the flame berzerker and the life demoness*
*If I don't say something soon, I'm sure that these two madmen will kill me without a care for what the capital has to say*
Feeling the situation he was in; it was only at this time that Sylas remembered the information on two of them he had been given before coming here to the Thorneheart viscounty

And while it is rumored that some nobles in the capital still look down on him due to his commoner origin but none dare say it to his face to avoid being burned to a crisp
On the other hand, Sephrina known as the demoness of life was the only child of the Thorneheart family,
This in turn caused others to think this would be the family's downfall due to the lack of a male heir
However, against all odds, She alone stood up leaving countless dead and in awe in her trail
Using the resources of her family, Sephrina was able to develop her life magic to an extent where she even deduced some original spells
Some of which may rival seventh-order spells based on their lethality alone
From being able to use life magic to stimulate countless plants and control them, to also being able to heal hundreds of people
Apart from the elves in the Forest of Life, it was hard to find someone as well-versed in life magic as her
However, what truly made her a force to be feared by others was her original spell, life drain!
Known for having drained the lifeforce of various suitors as well as greedy hands that wanted to touch the Thorneheart household
over the years it is said that, tens if not hundreds of people had died under her mere gaze alone
*Sigh... I wonder what the world was thinking allowing these two monsters to get together*
*Not only that, but if something is done soon, apart from me losing my life the royal capital might experience a lot of trouble*
*After all, if those two want to make trouble, then unless they release those old antiques in hibernation there's really no one who can stop them*
Once again realizing the seriousness of the matter, beads of sweat couldn't help but trickle down his head as a feeling of hopelessness began to swell up within him
"Calm down both of you! Do you want to be the enemy of the whole empire!"

Shouting at the top of his longs, Sylas began to try his hardest to convince both of them from not killing him on the spot
However, what he didn't know was that both Elias and Sephrina knew he was innocent
Just kidding, a fifth and sixth-order mage how could they a small fourth-order make any waves under their watch
Unfortunately, Sylas being innocent did not affect the state of Arthur leaving them nowhere to vent their anger on him

Silence…., unknowingly a calm silence a stalemate as Elias and Seprina couldn't decide whether or not to kill Sylas
Fortunately, just as they were about to come to a decision, a timely voice sounded in their ears gaining everyone's attention

"Mom? What happened? Why is this place such a mess?"
"Did we get robbed?"
Hearing this series of questions, only then did Elias and Sephrina begin to calm down, while Sylas breathed a sigh of relief in response
