Capítulo 11: -.-.-Chapter 11-.-.-

As we walked out of the narrow corridor of the tunnel we came to a slightly wider section of the cave, a small cavern, which actually had a small amount of light in it courtesy of some strange crystals on the ceiling. Though part of me wished it wasn't lit because of what I saw upon entering.

Five more Skeevers were in the area, two of them were level three like the one I had killed in the tunnel, another two were level four, and one at the back was a level eight.

"Shit," I muttered as I drew my other tonfa as they noticed us and let out that hated screech of theirs before they charged at us.

"Cyndaquil, use tackle with hit and run tactics, don't let them corner you," I told my partner before I had to move, jumping out of the way of the level eight before spiking it with a right cross in its ribs, only to have to bring up my left to use the length of my tonfa to catch the jaws of another and throw it back to the ground before lashing out with a kick to give myself some room.

'God I always hated these things in the game, now I hate them even more,' I thought to myself as I lashed out with another cross hitting the first one again as it came at me.

I glanced over to Cyndaquil to see he was doing as I suggested, tackling one before using it as a springboard to evade another and line himself up for another tackle on a third, taking on the two level threes and one level four.

I turned the attention back to the two I was dealing with only to quickly duck as the level eight sailed over my head this time. I just barely avoided its claws and fangs.

Thinking fast I dropped my right tonfa as I reached up and grabbed the thing by its tail before it could get by me and try to attack from behind. I pulled hard and smacked the thing on the ground getting a pain filled screech in response.

"Shut up!" I yelled before I drove my foot into its side launching it across the cavern just as my level four lunged for me.

I bit back a curse as I raised my left tonfa to block it only for my eyes to widen as it bit clean through the wood of my tonfa.

I moved fast, letting go of my last tonfa and moving back to avoid its claws.

'Fuck now I'd have to replace the pair.' I mentally cursed as my eyes flickered to where I had dropped my right one only now the level four Skeever was between me and it, and I could see the level eight skulking forward looking at me with an angry bloodlust filled glare that only a rodent could pull off.

I grit my teeth as I reached behind me and pulled out my single nunchuck, they were solid oak with a thick rope connecting them and I knew from past experience I could do some real damage with them.

"Alright you little bastards," I growled as I eyed their health bars, both in the orange, "bring it." And they brought it.

The level four went for my legs while the level eight went for my upper body screeching for blood as they came, only to hit the dirt a second later. One from my foot and the other taking a hard smack from my chuck, which I spun with practiced ease before catching it under my arm.

While the nunchucks were the weapons that I had been learning to use for the shortest of my current three weapon proficiencies. They were, by far, my favorite weapon to use, with the Bo staff taking a close second. My teacher said I was a natural with both but I preferred the speed of attack that nunchucks allowed, if I wanted range that's when I preferred the Bo staff for its longer reach and sweeping motions.

I was about to capitalize on things and finish it, my last hit having apparently killed the level four as it faded away a second later, while the level eights health was now very low in the red, before I heard a cry and looked over to see Cyndaquil getting hit by one of the level fours and knocked to the wall as the other two were moving in to attack as well.

I cursed and ran, lashing out with my weapon. I hit the farthest one when I reached it, the level four with the lowest health, clearing the last of its HP as it hit the ground dead and began to fade away.

That act caught the other two Skeevers attention as they turned on me, their HP equally as low, and jumped me at same time just as I began to turn and lash out with a picture perfect roundhouse kick, catching both of them in an arc, as a pair of cracks rang out in the cavern followed by two thuds as they hit the ground, necks broken.

I knelt down worried about my partner, "you o.." I began to ask as Cyndaquil looked up at me, but before I could get another word out he jumped up to me like he had done before, only this time to use my shoulder as a launch pad.

His jump pushed me forward and I turned just in time to see him collide mid air in a tackle with the level eight Skeever hitting it hard. I watched the last of its HP bar hit zero before it hit the ground along with Cyndaquil.

Scrambling to my feet I rushed over to check on him as the level eight Skeevers body vanished and let out a sigh as I saw he was fine, nothing a rest would fix up.

Slumping to the ground I let out a breath before I chuckled, "guess that makes us even now hmm?"

"Cyn," my little buddy nodded before slumping down on all fours just as exhausted as me.
