Capítulo 18: Chapter 18: When The World Needed Him Most Part 9

After diffusing the situation, Katara continued to rub the cloth on Sokka's "injuries" and soon finished as he no longer tried anything else, also wanting for the situation to end so he could properly prepare for more interactions.

Thankfully, this didn't take too long as after rubbing Kel's injury for a bit more, Katara pulled away and felt she was done, saying, "There, all done."

"Thanks, Katara. That honestly feels much better," Kel replied as he let out a yawn before standing up to stretch slightly, showing a bit of pain but overall not as exaggerated as before. After he did this, he adjusted his blankets and looked ready to sleep again.

"Fine, Sokka, you get your rest, but make sure you're up in time for what you promised. And again, if I find out you're lying..." Katara trailed off before proceeding to hold out two fingers, with which she first pointed at her eyes and then Sokka's eyes, indicating that she had her eye on him.

After performing this, she quickly dressed up, picked up the cloth, and carried the pot. "Since I'm coming back here anyway tonight, I'll rub the ointment on you then. Gran Gran is too busy at the shore, and I can't seem to find where she put it."

"No problem, Katara," Kel nonchalantly replied before seemingly snuggling even more into his blankets, going silent.

Katara found the situation more irritating, 'jerk,' thinking to herself in frustration. She then left the igloo without uttering another word.

After she left, Kel immediately let out a sigh and sat up from the bed, thinking to himself, 'Should I just sleep?'

Getting out of the igloo wasn't an option as it was clear that there wasn't much to do given the injury he was faking. In addition, it wouldn't really make sense for him to go out and try to explore, which in itself seemed dangerous as he didn't even know where to begin.

'Dammit, where is Sylvia?' Soon after thinking this thought, Kel heard footsteps by his igloo and almost immediately, a familiar figure of a penguin slid in quickly.

"Did you call, Don Kel?" the penguin Sylvia gave a slight bow and waddled on heer little feet before looking up at Kel, who stared back at her, not impressed in the least as he asked, "You can read my thoughts?"

To which penguin Sylvia shook her head. "Not quite, but I can feel when you want my presence, so I come quickly," Sylvia revealed.

Kel couldn't help but narrow his eyes as he asked sarcastically, "Wow, don't you think that would have been a good thing to say before leaving?"

"Forgive me, Don Kel. I am ashamed," Sylvia replied, bowing her head lower, looking a bit awkward.

"Yea I'm noticing that's a pattern with you. But, fine. I need something from you," Kel said, crossing his arms.

Sylvia quickly raised her head at attention and asked, "What is it that Don Kel needs?"

"First of all, I would like to know when and how I'm supposed to meet the reincarnator. And also, can I request items that are not of this world?" Kel almost immediately asked.

"It depends on you, Don Kel. If you choose to meet him or not, he may or may not come and find you himself. The world functions in its own way," Sylvia revealed before answering the other question. "And any items you may want that are not from this world would need approval from the Mistress. If she approves of an item once, it means you can always ask for it in the current world," Sylvia revealed this very important piece of information.

Kel couldn't help but ask, "So you didn't think all this useful information was better for me to know from the start?"

Sylvia quickly lowered her head to apologize. "I am ashamed. Sylvia is deeply sorry, Don Kel. I am supposed to do what you tell me to, so if you don't ask, I can't know."

'What are you, my retarded child?' Kel thought to himself. "I thought you were supposed to be some sort of secretary to make things easier for me," he complained, though he modified his tone due to the fact that he simply wanted to give her a hard time. After saying that statement, Kel simply shook his head as if disappointed.

"Fine, whatever. Then I would like to request scented Thai oils," Kel revealed.

"Scented tutorials?" Sylvia repeated while tilting her penguin head in confusion. "What's that?"

Kel sighed, irritated at the potential for more confusion. At this time, Sylvia brought out her little flipper in which a fish appeared out of thin air. The fish was incredibly stiff, and she used it to tap the floor twice before its eyes glowed.

"Is that supposed to be your staff?" Kel questioned.

Sylvia gave a little nod. "Yes, it is for disguise," she explained.

Kel noted sarcastically, "And here I thought you just had the ability to make snacks appear out of thin air."

"Did you want to request a snack, Don Kel?" Sylvia asked, looking up at him.

"Sure, give me Angelina Jolie," Kel replied, causing Sylvia to show confusion yet again.

Still confused, Sylvia simply gave a nod and tapped her fish on the floor twice again. A brief silence followed before the fish's eyes glowed yet again as Sylvia revealed, "The Mistress has granted your requests."

"Really?" Kel asked in surprise. At this point, however, Sylvia had already raised her fish to tap the floor twice. After doing so, two bright lights appeared right on the floor.

After one faded, it revealed numerous transparent bottles with black caps. Kel only looked at these for a minute before turning his attention to the other bright light that was about to fade.

However, as soon as it faded, Kel went from looking curious to looking disappointed as he simply asked, "What the fuck?"
