Capítulo 4: Chapter 4: Approach

I trembled with anxiety, desperate to grab my phone and call the police.

But he suddenly curled his lips, brushed the bloodstains on his black suit, and lazily smiled, "I just ended the lives of a few blood clan members, each of whom had lived for five or six hundred years."

"However... their blood isn't as delicious as this wine. Of course, this wine isn't as nutritious as the blood of an elf passed down through two generations!"

Elf blood?

"I don't understand what you're saying! But you'd better not make any sudden moves. Bevis will be back soon, and even if he doesn't return, I can still kill you!" I warned through gritted teeth.

His hand extended—clean, slender, with perfectly proportioned joints and short, immaculate nails. There was a classical elegance in his movements, as if his fingertips could bloom into dazzling flowers.

Undoubtedly, this hand could be considered beautiful, but I had already imagined how terrifying it would be as a ghostly claw—unfortunately, this hand... landed on my cheek.

The cold touch made me shiver uncontrollably. The champagne glass in his other hand reflected my pale, terrified face, and my slightly curled hair seemed to stand on end. I lowered my eyes in panic, ready to thrust the wine-transformed sword in my hand toward him, but he directly pushed his hand against the blade.

Not a single drop of blood fell.

The sharpest end of the blade stood abruptly on the back of his hand, while the hilt I held was in his palm. His slender fingers curled down, and he actually grasped my hand?!

This stark reality told me, Margie, that my skills were still too shallow to defeat this dead vampire!

He stretched his neck closer, and I quickly backed away, but the hand on my cheek gripped the back of my neck. The hand he held felt like it was being crushed, the pain forcing me to swallow my tears.

He sniffed at my neck like he was savoring a piece of pastry, letting out a greedy sigh.

I heard a faint click, and two cold, sharp things pressed against my skin. I trembled and warned, "My blood is poisonous. You'd better stay away from me."

He let out a low grunt and suddenly withdrew from my neck. "I've just had my fill, and looking at someone as unpleasant as you, I'm not very hungry! Weren't you so arrogant earlier? Why are you trembling now?" He leisurely released me and turned away, no longer looking at me.

A wise woman knows when to back down. Since I couldn't win with force, I'd try being soft. "Baron Albert..."

"You'd better remember, it's Baron Albert. The title 'Baron' alone makes me uncomfortable!"

Damn vampire, I curse your ancestors to rot in their coffins!

I took a deep breath, adjusted my mindset, and forced a dry smile. "Alright, Baron Albert, I'd like you to leave!" I was being polite enough to a bloodthirsty ghost.

"Hmph, not bad, you're improving! But I'd like to know your name."

"You don't need to know!"
