The wedding ended Three hours later.

It had been an exhausting day.

When Nolan Harrington and I returned home, we were stopped at the door.

It was Oscar Sterling.

He looked like he had been waiting there for a long time.

As soon as he saw me, he rushed forward and tried to grab my hand—

only to be kicked away by Nolan Harrington.

Oscar staggered up from the ground, glaring at Nolan with bloodshot eyes.

"Nolan Harrington, you shameless bastard! Lucille is my fiancée! What right do you have to steal my fiancée!"

His face twisted with hatred and pain, like he'd just been betrayed by the whole world.

"I treated you like a brother, and this is how you repay me?!"

He lost it completely, shouting at Nolan in fury.

Nolan frowned and was about to call security to throw Oscar out, but I stopped him.

I shook my head at Nolan, then walked up to Oscar.

Oscar's eyes lit up with hope.

"Lucille…"

I raised my hand and slapped him hard across the face.

That slap—
