Ik, but from Ryan's perspective she's never been that way. Since he's biased against Aaron, he thinks it's his fault.
Someone had taken a page out of her husband's book. She normally wasn't like this even when she was angry. Aaron Hale had been a bad influence on her.

This comment is three months old so I can't remember, but it's not what the characters think, it's what the characters say. It's their voice, not the author's.

Aaron has never been the best at emotionally reading people

Were I her, I would've been miffed that: 1. He was disgustingly condescending (imo) last time they talked 2. He knew Keeley wasn't looking for a relationship but shot his shot anyway 3. He acted like a jealous boyfriend and didn't try to understand things from Keeley's perspective (granted, Keeley didn't do a good job explaining her duality of mind) I still think Keeley should have left open SOME avenue for communication/redemption (especially since Ryan is an average young man who makes mistakes), but I would've initially needed some distance as well.
Of course she wouldn't. She blocked him because he texted her too many times and she wasn't in the mood to answer. It hurt realizing that someone she thought of as a dependable friend had only thought of her as girlfriend material the whole time.

It could just be for plot reasons, but if I try applying real world logic then stress, change, or a sudden emotional shift can upset the guts.

Fate is really dead set on getting therm together. Keeley's dodging left, right, and center but fate's blocking her every move and trying to give her every hint possible
No such luck—the bouquet came sailing at her face and she shrieked and covered her head with her arms to protect herself, catching it anyway. Seriously, what were the odds of catching two bouquets in back-to-back weddings this year?!

My sister moves too. When we have to share a bed (hotels), she'll end up planking diagonally across the bed while I'm about to fall off. She's also kicked me, hit me, groused at me, and stolen all my blankets while out cold.

😂😂😂
Aaron was disgruntled. "…not the kind of compliment I'm looking for, sweetheart."

Genuinely wondering if this is just an attitude he's cultivated from years of rough living and vengeance or if he has an actual mental condition
He put his hands in his pockets and whistled as he made his way down the street away from the murder scene. His work here was done.

I already know what happens, but Lordy you f**ked up by deciding to poke the sleeping bear
Lacy was feeling restless. Since her plan to get that horrid woman out of the way was a bust, she should deal with the other half of the problem. Graydon Meyer. He had to pay for lying to her.

Oh girl. He was patient for those five no-contact years.
Keeley wouldn't have pegged him as a patient person yet here they were. She snuggled closer and fell asleep to the sound of his heartbeat.

Brownies are my dad's favorite too.
"Wait until you try the brownies," Aaron said, causing her to roll her eyes. She knew about his brownie obsession.

This reincarnation was a blessing for numerous people. Aaron and Keeley got another go-round together (with babies!), Mr. Hall got another go-round and now has two grandchildren and technically two sons, Cameron and Jennica got to meet and marry, Aiden got a sweet job and some friends...
Gray's smile seemed a lot more genuine than usual after that. As expected, Keeley was right on the mark. He really did want to feel like part of a family.

A mix of that and Ryan being jealous. This is still from his POV...
She turned to go once again and smacked right into someone's chest. She looked up, ready to apologize, before smiling brightly at him with her heart in her eyes. "Aaron! I was right about to come back."

As discomforting as this exchange is, it's good characterization for Ryan. Keeley's attitude could have changed due to the level of insults he peppered her with in the past or simply with time, but he automatically assumes it's because of Aaron.

Says a man who's mentally 66. 10/10 some things never change
"I mean like-like me," Aaron said lamely. It sounded even stupider than it had inside his head.

Most of my brain: OMG BABY TIME Small part of brain: But did Gray pay the bill?
Gray stared across the table at them in mute horror as Aaron ushered her out the door without another word. He was too focused on the fact that his wife was about to give birth to even remember that someone else was present.

Dunno why this sentence struck me as hard as it did, but woof
"It did, knowing the kind of man our father is," Aaron admitted. He paused a moment before continuing. "I'm sorry about what happened to your mother. You have as much reason to hate him as I do."

And Aaron's like 60 but he's also acting how he is
"Ye—no! Are you crazy? I don't want your money! I want you to leave me alone!" she nearly cried in frustration.
