Emily, who stood before him, placed her hand on his chest. She lifted herself onto her toes and leaned in to plant a gentle kiss on his cold lips. The warmth between them only continued to grow. Before the kiss could intensify further, she pulled back, her eyes opening, and she replied, "It is now."

Emily hadn't moved from where she stood, and though Raylen had walked to the other side of the room, she couldn't help but catch his reflection in the mirror, watching as he smoothly removed the shirt he was wearing in one fluid motion to reveal his bare shoulders and the muscles of his back that tapered down into his trousers.

Thank you everyone for being patient, I am still recovering from the virus I caught with cough and a little muddle headed right now, but getting better than the last few days. I missed you guys <3 The WSA 2023, GOP landed Bronze and I want to thank everyone who had continiously supported the book. Emily, who had been holding her breath, finally released it as he let go of her dark blonde hair. When they heard the voices of a couple in the distance, too far to identify who it was, she saw him step back to create some distance between them. He softly said, "It does matter. Because you matter now."

Even though Raylen liked to tease her, there were moments like these when he seemed like a considerate man. He had given her a somewhat fierce glare earlier, yet he had brought her here under the pretext of getting some fresh air when, in truth, she had only been trying to keep her distance from him. When she discreetly sneaked a glance at him, she observed him blowing smoke into the air while watching the other snowflakes fall gently around them. With his wine-red hair and a relaxed expression on his face, he stood out amidst the picturesque surroundings, looking nothing like the scenery.
