Kabanata 4: Chapter 4 – The True Trial of Layered Time
The winds of the Time Layer fell completely silent,
as if every second froze for the arrival of Layer 4 Overseer.
The cloaked figure emerged from the shadows, face hidden,
laughing loudly—5555
> "Hahaha! Young man from Takkalu!
You passed the previous tests…
Because you didn't know what you would lose if you failed!"
Ren frowned.
> "I don't… know what I would lose?"
The Overseer smiled coldly.
> "Because you… come from another world.
Your world's time and dimensions are unlike this one.
You don't understand the rules here…
And that is why you gained the advantage."
Ren muttered under his breath,
> "My world… is that different?"
The Overseer nodded.
> "Here… everyone craves power.
And this trial… will decide whether you claim it!
I've seen your world…
Your time flows in a straight line. Here… Time Layers are stacked like layers of stone.
Each layer is unique… like an era.
Nature, air, smells, sounds, trends… each layer hides power and secrets.

> "Young man from Takkalu! His name is known across the universe!
Here… he is called 'The Exiled of the Cosmos'
Because he ignores the rules of any Time Layer and does what no one dares!"
Ren inhaled sharply.
> "…The Exiled…?"
The Overseer nodded.
> "Yes, and you too will learn that Trial 4 is unlike any before.
This one is real! Every point has locks and bots.
It looks impossible… but for those who understand the Art of Time, there is a way.
You will have reasons to think… and reasons to stress… like everyone who desires power."
Ren gripped his magical pocket watch tightly.

The Overseer's gaze swept over him.
> "Are you ready?
If you pass… I will reveal the next Layer's name.
If you fail… your time will be overwritten… until almost no one remembers you."
The Overseer raised his hand, pointing at the golden gate of the Time Layer, shining brilliantly.
The whispering wind said,
