Synopsis
In the world of shifters, males dominate every plane of the hierarchy. Be it wolves, jaguars, cats or any other species, a male is always the Alpha. Rhys Valkyer is the Alpha of the strongest pack in all of Asia, the WildRain pack. Faster and stronger than almost every other wolf in the country, he has never known defeat. But when Rhys gets news of a potentially violent pack of wolves located in the Middle Himalayas, most possibly lead by a rare white wolf, he cannot help but get involved, especially when eight highly trained trackers are killed by said wolf. But nothing could prepare Rhys for what he is about to discover when he finally comes face to face with the white wolf.

I rather enjoyed this book. As someone else commented, the ending felt rushed and incomplete. So I do hope the next book comes out soon and it doesn’t end abruptly. It wa a very well thought out plot. The writer also did an amazing job developing the main characters.
The story starts off captivating and gets serious very quickly. About three quarters of the way through, I was balling my eyes out. However, the ending had quite the plot twist and then finished very abruptly, not making much sense. I loved it, but the ending left me extremely confused, and that was a turn off. 😢
I dunno how else to ask the aurhor and I dunno if she would even respond but here it goes: This book is really good, surprisingly I enjoyed it! As someone who has seen many books from western cultures (US, etc) about werewolves, I dont really enjoy werewolves stories much because of their repetitive and boring themes or there is smth missing in those stories. But this one surprisingly made me interested! Now the reason this story does not have 5 stars is for 2 reasons: 1 is grammar errors no big deal. The main and 2nd reason is the ending. Instead of seeming open ended it just seemed rushed. As if the author needed to finish off the story but also wanted to add some last minute details. It said to continue to the chosen alpha but that doesnt make sense since that novel is a prequel so unless the author also is going to include the sequel it seemed just like a rush ending to a novel that had a lot of potential. I guess its up to the aurhor if they reply to this and explain how she wants to continue w the ending so hopefully she responds if not dont read this book if you are a person who is hoping for a closed / happy ending bc the ending is def not closed and leaves of a lot questions and just seems rushed but other than that great book!
