Chapitre 24: Maya Might Get There

Vincent was rather pleased how things had gone down in the pool by the time he and Maya parted ways. Partly because he did have fun jumping off the rocks with her but mostly because he managed to get her onboard with his plans without having to reveal the full extent of them.

He had figured she wouldn't stop asking what he was working on so he came up with a ready excuse. He was already fairly certain she thought he was weird so he played into that belief.

What he told her wasn't entirely wrong. Those things would all be useful to have handy but it wasn't the primary reason he was doing this.

Having doppelgangers of himself would be useful because it would keep him safe once he took over the world. Any potential insurgents would never even know where he was because he would have so many smokescreens in place. It was the perfect way to hide himself.
