Chapitre 270: Chapter 268: Spar (IV)

I decided to bring back the status window. It has been ages since I've properly utilized it, and I figure it's about time to bring it back. It will start being used more, especially once the big dungeon comes up. Some of this is a chapter, but the bulk of this chapter is the status window.

I did name this chapter Spar (IV) but it's more like Spar (IV-I). I hope you guys enjoy the updated status window!

As always, Giliath demands your power stones!

*****

Swirls of fire began to twist around the churning blood of the Blood Spheres. The temperature around me began to rise, a constant heat began to burst outward. The blood that was in a constant swirl inside the spheres, infused with the blue mana that came forth from my body, wholeheartedly accepted the flames. The color began to visibly change, becoming crimson. Thanks to the orange glow of my Fire Magic, the orbs became brighter. They now had a similar look to the crimson eyes that I now had wrapped over my pupils.

My eyes I was born with were an oddity on another level. Pure crystalline gold. I was not surprisingly questioned at birth with such a unique pair of eyes, but considering this was the Trailsverse, and the fact that my father is Erebonia's Chancellor, he probably didn't even care. Then the system came along, and granted me one of those so-called eye abilities.

The Vermillion Eyes.

I had doubts about the origin of these eyes. I could only pinpoint them to one factor, whose being was nestled with the fabric of my soul. Master, the gorgeous lolita who was sitting next to the Thunder God, even assisted me once to peer into my soul, which had a raging heat radiating out of it. That heat belonged to the Vermillion Knight, Testa-Rossa, one of mechanical dolls born out of fantasy from a clash of two treasures the Goddess Aidios once bestowed to mankind.

I wouldn't call it a master-servant relationship, but one of that of partners. Right now, Testa-Rossa is currently being chained by the Infernal Castle, which I had plans to resurrect in the coming month or two. If it weren't for those ghastly chains, I had an inkling I could even call Testa-Roosa right here and now. It was that type of inexplicable relationship.

But having these eyes showed my connection to him, or that was what I hypothesized, at least. And right now, those Vermillion Eyes were bleeding into the crimson eyes that my current job class, True Dhampir. One wouldn't think I was just thirteen, on the cusp of becoming fourteen years old. Unlike other folk, I had actual experience on the battlefield.

Even going as far as having taken one's own life before too...

Yet seeing such an unwavering will that I could see in Sherryl's eyes who stood her current ground, in a defensive stance, I couldn't help but smile. I felt proud seeing such a girl who had underwent such cruel torture firmly standing on her own two feet.

Taking a moment as I willed one of my three Blood Spheres to start converging into a set of crimson-fire needles, I took this time to re-examine Sherryl's stats.

[Sherryl Sky] (Purple)

Level: 100/250.

HP: 500,000

I inwardly raised my eyebrows seeing this, as thanks to my Vermillion Eyes, it was beginning to show more information than last time I observed her. I did not use these eyes a lot as I previously mentioned, and for a good reason.

Imagine placing an entire Orbal Network in your head. These Vermillion Eyes were processing lots of data flowing into my mind. Not only could it quantify people's statuses around me, it could place them on a three-dimensional grid, signaling ally from foe alike, and that wasn't something easy to constantly keep track of.

The stress sometimes is beyond something I can withstand at times, even after having used it on multiple occasions. Even now, I felt a dull pain striking the inside of my mind. It did constantly drain my EP with its activation, but with the vigor I could feel from my mana being released throughout my body, it helped lessen the constant EP drain.

I could also see Sherryl's crafts in a clearer manner, and how her combat can be utilized with the use of arts. Unfortunately we are not using combat arts during this little spar, otherwise, we would have likely been casting them by now. They arranged by element, and had an array of different effects. Casting these arts was very fluid. I personally could attest to that when my father trained me, and during the fighting I experienced in North Ambria. One only had to wait to cast larger arts, like Diamond Dust.

I compared Sherryl's stats to my own.

Since Tama, my fox familiar, wasn't present, I didn't need to go over her stats, but I still couldn't help but suck in an inwardly breath of cold air going over these titles and inventory. I wasn't even finished yet. I decided to have a before and after comparison with a title equipped. My blessings automatically factored into my stat growths unlike Titles, which were temporary, so what I saw was what I got. I decided on equipping [Friend of the Vermillion Knight] due to its double damage in fire attacks. Since I was currently infusing Fire Magic into Blood Magic, I figured this title would be applicable.

Equipped Title: [Friend of a Vermillion Knight]

Base Stats:

HP: 18000 EP: 1600

STR: 1600 DEF: 1400

ATS: 2000 ADF: 1400 AGI: 125 iNT: 1400

LUC: 75

With Title Equipped:

HP: 28,000 (+10,000) EP: 1600

STR: 1600 (2160 - 35%) DEF: 1400

ATS: 2000 ADF: 1400 AGI: 125 iNT: 1400

LUC: 75

With everything gained from my travels to this point too, I have claimed all my quest items to date.

Yep, I was definitely reaching Reverie territory with stats like this. Recalling that game before coming into this world, stats capped at 9999 for most stats, I'm assuming health would cap at 99,999, but that remains to be seen. With the Gamer System currently in effect for Sherryl, it is currently treating her as a boss-level character.

From what I could tell of boss-level characters, the system color coded them. Red were normal bosses, a deeper crimson red was harder level, more rare bosses. Then came the color changes. From there, the darker the color got, the more dangerous one would be.

For example, when I fought Ace, his name was Black.

And presently, I could see Sherryl's name, Purple. Her strength was not to be underestimated, even if it was heavily boosted by her Doping technique.

To take an example, if I were to launch my crimson-fire needles at Sherryl, without anything extra equipped, would they even do any damage to her? Thankfully, I did have some of my equipment on my body.

In this next moment, I took the time to have another gander at what my stats looked like when both title and equips were in effect. I didn't go overboard this time considering it was a spar, I would fully equip myself once the Infernal Castle rises up from its ashes. For now, I just had Phoenix Armor and World Eater equipped on my body. World Eater was placed back on my back once I started casting that double-spell...

*

Equipped gear + title stats will be in next chapter *^*

I did not list any particular crafts or spells Naoto has, aside from Blood Spheres. I am taking name suggestions!
