Chapitre 36: For The Better

Ever since that conversation, Felix found himself quite surprised by Anne's weirdly polite behaviour.

That evening, he went to have tea with her. Even though he was not a fan of sweets or tea, he went because he always thought accompanying her should be done as she must be lonely.

Felix didn't ask her anything. He silently watched her speaking and waited to see if she would pull out the same topic again. But she didn't.

She would appreciate the cake.

Then, the tea. Then, she would smile out of the blue.

As if those strained arguments never happened before.

However, Felix wanted to let go of this. If possible, forget everything and wish the past wouldn't affect their future.

But only their future will decide it.

For the moment, he would take a break and appreciate the peace he got.

After their tea time together, Felix went back to his office.
