Chapitre 4: Marry Me, Elysia
Elysia looked at herself in the mirror as she got ready in the wedding dress that she had been in preparation for more than two months. The A-line wedding dress with was paired with a strapless corset bodice with sheer detachable off-the-shoulder sleeves. The floral lace appliques were used to embellish it along with tiny pearls on the entire dress.
Tears filled her eyes as Artues broke her heart badly. She had dreamt of this day for a long time. She brought the pad of her fingers below her eyes and wiped the tears from falling.
If she wanted, she could cancel her wedding yesterday evening, but she did not do that. As Brigetta and Artues trampled on her dignity, feelings, and pride, she would do the same. She wanted them to give the taste of what they did to her. However, she was scared a bit and nervous too.
Also, she wanted to save one more life today. Brigetta's fiancé was unaware of the truth. Elysia didn't know about him as Brigetta had told her how she would give a surprise on her wedding day.
"She is such a cunning woman," Elysia murmured. "She is pregnant with Atreus' child yet wants to marry another man. I am confident that she is doing this for the money." She turned promptly when she heard the door open and her eyes darted to the handsome figure before her.
It was Trustin Hunter. But what was he doing in her dressing room? She had not invited him in the wedding either. Did he come with Eithan? She confusedly gazed at him while Trustin continued to walk towards her. He stopped a few centimeters away from her.
"Marry me, Elysia," Trustin said.
"Pardon me?!" Elysia exclaimed. She was perplexed by his sudden proposal.
"Fine, I will repeat. I want you to marry me," Trustin said again. Loud and clear.
"Are you out of your mind? Why would I marry you?" Elysia suddenly became furious. "Since you are Eithan's brother, I do not want to be rude to you. Please get out of here before I have to call Eithan here," She kept her tone polite.
Instead of leaving, Trustin took a step towards her. His tall figure hovered over her and she had to lift her head to look at him.
"I will leave this wedding hall with you after taking you as my wife," Trustin said in his deep voice. "I am Brigetta's fianceé. She cheated on me with Atreus and got pregnant with his child," He revealed the truth to Elysia of which she was unaware of.
"You are Brigetta's fianceé?" She was shocked to know the truth.
"Yes."
"I do not want to marry you," Elysia refused his proposal. "In fact, I do not want to marry. I am in this wedding dress to step down the aisle and tell the whole world how they both cheated on me. I loved him from the bottom of my heart and he betrayed me," Elysia stated.
"Elysia, if you will not marry me, I will not spare your family, especially your sister, Brigetta. I will make sure you all suffer the hell," Trustin said and his jaw clenched. His anger was visible on his face.
Elysia looked at him with a puzzled expression. "You should solve your matter with Brigetta. Why do you want to involve the others in this?" She asked him.
"No. I cannot go out of this wedding hall without taking you as my wife. Also, exposing their truth will not be enough, Elysia. What will happen after you expose the truth today?" He questioned her and grabbed both her arms as he pulled her closer to him.
"Trustin!" Elysia called his name and held his wrists.
He inhaled the air sharply and peered into her eyes. "If you will tell those hundred of people about their betrayal, then they would laugh only at you. The best revenge will be when you and I both get married. However, if you still refuse, then I will make sure to kill Brigetta and her child!"
His last statement terrified Elysia. Was he serious?
"Yes, I will kill her and the child inside her. I put my faith on her and she used my trust this way! Not only that I will destroy the Trivino family for fooling me by not telling me that there are two daughters in the family. The Hunter Family is one of the top ten strongest families in the country. So, better marry me if you want to keep Brigetta and her child alive," Trustin this time threatened Elysia with her sister's life.
"You should take revenge from Brigetta, not me. I cannot marry you. You cannot threaten me and force me to marry you," Elysia argued with him.
"You do not know what I can do, Elysia. I am so mad to know that the Trivino family played with me. As I said, for you, the best revenge is marrying me," Trustin stated.
"But we did nothing. Brigetta is the one who cheated on you not the others," Elysia again stated.
"You have five seconds to say a 'yes' to me. If you won't, then be responsible for all this mess," Trustin proclaimed with a menacing expression.
Elysia hated Brigetta and she herself wanted her to get punished, But there was no fault of the child inside her. Trustin was indeed from a rich family. She had heard about them and if she today refused to marry him, he might destroy everyone's life in her family. She could not let that happen.
"Will you not do anything to Brigetta's child and my father and mother if I agree to marry you?" Elysia asked.
"Yes, I will not do anything to them," Trustin said with a firm tone.
"Fine, I am r-ready to marry you," Elysia gave him his answer that relieved Trustin. His grip from her arms loosened. He almost stepped back when the wolf inside made him do something which shocked Elysia. Trustin leaned down as he gradually lowered his eyelids. His eyes turned red and his lips almost brushed against the skin of the crook of her neck.
"Trustin, what are you doing?" Her soft voice brought him out of that strange magic that her scent had done on him. He only inhaled the scent emancipating from her before leaning back. However, he did not meet her gaze and turned his back to her.
"When you come to the altar, then you have to hold my hand," he said and dashed out of the room. He halted outside the room and shook his head. "Her scent is making me crazy," he murmured, and he left for the wedding altar.
