Chapitre 2: awakening and the acceptance letter

Later that night, Felix found himself in a deep sleep, completely unaware of the magical events that were about to unfold. As he slumbered peacefully in his room, a strange energy began to fill the air. Objects around him started to tremble and vibrate, lifting off the ground as if defying gravity itself. Felix's eyes fluttered open, and he was immediately jolted awake by the surreal sight before him.

"Whoa! What in the world is happening? Am I dreaming?" Felix muttered, his voice tinged with a mix of awe and confusion. He reached out, trying to touch the levitating objects, only to have his hand pass through them like mist.

"This... This is incredible! Could it be that my birthday wish actually came true?" Felix pondered aloud, his excitement growing as he contemplated the possibilities. It was no dream; this was real.

Filled with an insatiable curiosity, Felix couldn't help but wonder how he could control this newfound power. With childlike enthusiasm, he shouted out various phrases he had heard from superhero stories and tales of extraordinary abilities.

"Chatakatak!"

To his surprise, his surroundings abruptly ceased their dance in mid-air, and gravity reclaimed its hold. The objects crashed back to the ground with a resounding thud, causing a cacophony of noise.

Startled by the commotion, Sister Martha's concerned voice echoed from outside the door. "Knock, knock, knock. Felix, are you okay? What was that noise?"

Caught off guard, Felix quickly composed himself and responded, "Oh, nothing, Sister. I just had a dream and fell off my bed. Sorry for worrying you."

Sister Martha's voice softened with relief. "Are you sure you're fine, dear?"

Felix mustered a reassuring tone. "Yes, Sister, I'm fine. I'm just going back to sleep. Good night."

"Good night, Felix."

As the sound of Sister Martha's retreating footsteps faded away, Felix took a moment to collect his thoughts. He knew he couldn't dismiss what had happened as a mere dream. The disorderly state of his room served as undeniable evidence that it was all real. Determined to unravel the mystery, Felix decided to attempt to recreate the levitation once more.

"Launch!"

"Go!"

"Awake up!"

"Open Sesame!"

He fervently shouted out various incantations and phrases, hoping to trigger the extraordinary power he had experienced. However, despite his best efforts, the room remained still and ordinary. Disappointment washed over him, but he refused to give up. Exhausted from his exertions, Felix eventually succumbed to sleep, his mind filled with anticipation for what the future might hold.

The next morning, Felix joined the other children for breakfast, the events of the previous night still fresh in his mind. Suddenly, an unusual noise disrupted the quiet atmosphere. All heads turned towards the window as a magnificent brown owl swooped in, gracefully landing in the hall. With a swift motion, it dropped a letter directly in front of Felix before taking flight once more.

A collective gasp filled the room as the children exchanged bewildered glances. Their shared experience confirmed that they had witnessed the same extraordinary event.

"Did you all see that? An owl just delivered a letter! This is amazing!" one child exclaimed, unable to contain their excitement.

"I knew it wasn't a dream. Something magical is happening," Felix declared, his voice brimming with elation.

Curiosity hung in the air as the children eagerly watched Felix, their eyes fixated on the letter before him. With trembling hands and a racing heart, Felix carefully opened the envelope, revealing a letter adorned with a distinct emblem—a snake, lion, badger, and raven intertwined, representing the prestigious Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. As his eyes scanned the words on the page, Felix's excitement reached new heights.
