Chapitre 4: Chapter 4 Gringotts

Tiber woke up early the next day. Making sure his trunk was locked, he considered putting the whole thing in his bag. Fearful that it would prove too much, he left it in his room before going to eat breakfast. After he was done, he wandered out into the city. Retracing the route from yesterday, he found himself in the middle of Diagon Alley once more.

Tiber made his way to Gringotts. Standing in line, he made his way to a goblin sitting at the teller station. "What is it?" the goblin said rudely, looking at the kid in front of him with impatience.

"Does gringotts deal in the gold trade?" Tiber asked.

"Of course it does boy do you have gold to trade." The goblin said before waving over another goblin. This one introduced himself as Ragnok. "Follow him he will lead you to the appraisal room." The first goblin said.

Tiber followed the Goblin to a well decorated room with two couches. "Show me the gold you wish to have appraised." Ragnok demanded.

"Of course, sir, thank you." Tiber said, not minding the attitude. After all, goblins were frequently seen as second-class citizens by a lot of wizards.

He moved the table by the wall before emptying his bag. Close to 100 lbs of pure gold scrap landed on the floor. Ragnok looked in amazement before asking. "Is that all?"

"For now," Tiber answered, "but if we can come to an agreement which works for us both, then we should be able to make this a regular thing."

"Agreement?" Ragnok asked, "Any major agreement will require the chief teller."

"I understand. Can you ask for a moment of his time if he is not too busy?" Tiber responded.

Still looking at the pile of gold, Ragnok nodded before leaving to get the chief teller.

As the chief teller entered the room a few minutes later, Tiber rose and showed his respect for the goblin. Looking at the massive pile of gold scrap, he said, "My name is Ricbert. I hear you have a deal you wish to discuss."

"Yes, sir. I can provide a pile of gold just like this every 6 months, in exchange for a fair price." Tiber said.

"This big?" Ricbert asked.

"Yes, sir," Tiber answered.

"What do you want in exchange?" Ricbert asked, expecting an unreasonable demand.

"Three things, sir,

1. I would like to open an account with gringotts 1/3 of the profit will go into it.

2. the other 2/3 is to be donated to the orphanage that raised me to be used to better the kids there.

3. I am in need of a last name. The only name I have is Tiber, and I would like to have a legally recognized family name."

Ricbert thought for a minute for the size of the transaction that the conditions were not unreasonable. The young wizard had also treated him with more respect than most wizards who interacted with him.

"Agreed, Ragnok, have you finished the appraisal?" Ricbert asked.

"Yes, the offered price is 100 galleons." Ragnok stated.

"That is acceptable by my standards. Can we split it as discussed?" Tiber asked.

Ricbert agreed, opening an account for Tiber and getting him a vault for his galleons. Converting 3 into knuts and Sickles, he kept them in his bag. The remaining 20 were placed in his vault.

Leading him to a second office, he filled out paperwork. When asked to choose his family name, he stated, "Rivia." The last order of business was for him to give the goblins the name of the orphanage. Converting the Galleons to British pounds, they made sure it was anonymously donated with the condition it be used for the benefit of the orphans. The goblins closed any loopholes for the money to be squandered or misused, and it was almost scary how good they were with money. As he was leaving he heard a message.

*Ding Bonus Objective completed summoning weapon.*

Tiber stepped into an alley to get out of sight as a sword materialized in front of him. A gold grip with a Red oval gem. The two blades extended from the gaurd, looking like the jaws of a beast. His first weapon was Dawnfang.
