Chapitre 17: True Brotherhood
"Go guard the door. Don't let anyone escape," Noah patted Liu Xiaoyu on the back. Such a scene was not much for him, but for Liu Xiaoyu, it was disgustingly overwhelming, even more so than scenes of blood and gore.
Liu Xiaoyu nodded, covering her mouth as she left the dance hall, closing the door behind her to stand guard outside. By then, the people inside the hall had noticed Noah. "Hey, kid, who are you? I've never seen you before. Who brought you up here?" With a wave of his hand, Noah sent several knives flying and spinning through the hall. The sound of men screaming and women shrieking soon drowned out the blaring music.
Five minutes later, a knife punctured the sound system, and silence returned to the hall. Bodies and blood covered the floor, with only a few women huddled in corners, trembling uncontrollably.
All the men were dead without exception. It wasn't that Noah was particularly merciful towards women, rather, most of these women were playthings of the Long Hu Gang, seeking refuge and survival rather than being deeply involved with the gang. Killing them would only add unnecessary blood to his hands. He wasn't a bloodthirsty demon; unrelated individuals weren't his target. However, a few women who showed hostility towards him were still "liberated."
As for the Long Hu Gang members, he spared none, adhering to the principle of eradicating the roots when cutting weeds. Noah then walked upstairs, with knives floating behind him, liberating anyone he encountered, leaving a trail of blood and bodies. His gaze remained calm throughout, unmoved by pleas for mercy or the frenzy of killing.
Noah had reached the fourth floor when someone blocked his path. The blocker was a muscular man covered in tattoos.
"Kid, this isn't a place for you. I might overlook the fact you killed members of the Long Hu Gang, but leave now, and I might spare your life," the muscular man said with a deep, resonant voice. Noah looked at the information appearing above the man's head:

Noting the man's details, Noah felt fortunate. An A-grade ability was the strongest he had encountered besides Xue Qingyu. The Steel Body ability, incredibly rare, could turn the user's body into hardened steel, offering exceptional defense.
Not even shotgun blasts could penetrate it, and it was immune to most other abilities, impervious to fire and water. Its offensive capabilities were monstrous, with explosive power far exceeding that of strength enhancement abilities—a true humanoid tank, a nemesis in close combat.
Noah directed several knives at the man, who immediately shimmered with a metallic luster, transforming into an iron figure. The once lethal knives only sparked against his skin, failing to make even a scratch. The iron figure, narrowing his eyes at the sight of the knives, grabbed one, "Where did you get this dagger, kid?"
Noah spread his hands, "Off a corpse, something about a Wild Dog, but don't worry, I'm quite skilled in killing. He went peacefully." The iron figure glared, enraged, "You dared to kill him!" His voice was low and on the edge of fury. He and Wild Dog had a close relationship, more like brothers than friends, having known each other since childhood and surviving the streets together. After the apocalypse, both awakened their abilities by sheer luck and joined Hu Ye, becoming the second and third in command of the Long Hu Gang.
They had hoped to make a mark in this chaotic world with their newfound powers, but before they could enjoy their success, Wild Dog was gone, and his favorite dagger taken, his remains lost.
"Scum, I'll strip your bones one by one and crush them," the Iron Man roared, charging at Noah with a metallic fist swinging down. Noah, not daring to take the hit head-on, leaped back to dodge the attack. With a 'thud,' the Iron Man's punch pierced through the wall, creating a large hole and sending dust flying. Extracting his hand from the wall and shaking off the dust without a scratch, he charged at Noah again.
'Swish, swish, swish...' Three steel rebars shot out from the wall like serpents, binding the Iron Man. Another rebar aimed directly at his iron behind. The clash of metal sparked, "Petty tricks, huh," he snorted, tearing the rebars apart with his hands, a mocking cold smile on his lips. With a thrust of his hips against the wall, he punched a hole through it.
"Seriously? That works?" Noah gasped in surprise. Compared to this guy, anyone else would seem like a child. "How about that? Am I not formidable? I've changed my mind; I don't want to kill you anymore. Since you killed him, you can take his place and serve me."
"But I won't be gentle with you, hehe..." Noah took several steps back upon hearing this. "I'll fight you!" He never expected the Iron Man in front of him to be so perverse. Thinking about Wild Dog and his interactions with this guy... How did Wild Dog even endure this?
Noah felt a chill run through him. "Don't just stand there, kid, keep running. The more you struggle, the more excited I get. The real fun is just beginning, hahaha..." The Iron Man laughed maniacally as he charged at Noah again.
Noah, however, stood his ground with a stern face, appearing immobile to the Iron Man, who assumed he was paralyzed with fear. Just as the Iron Man hesitated, contemplating whether to hold back to avoid killing Noah with a single punch, he suddenly stiffened, freezing in place.
