Chapitre 1: Prologue
MC PoV
'So that was my life. All 21 years of it...' I said, closing my tale of myself.
"Hmmm...." the being in front of me stayed quiet afterward. His silence was...in judgment.
I had died apparently, not long ago. Finally succumbing to a virus, its source no one knew or could say for certain. I had spent my final days on my own, unable to go near my family.
"And what would you do if I give you another chance at life? In another world that is not your own but a world that you've seen through yours," it asked.
'Look, I don't have regrets there. Well, there was one...I guess'
"Go on" he replied.
'I...always wanted to wield magic, and have some crazy adventures with friends my age'
"Hmm...Magic and young friends..." he trailed off after the last one.
"And what if I say that you will never be able to go back again? Would you still accept?"
'...I...I will'
"Very well, I shall grant you that chance. I have already decided on a world for you, so you only need to figure out the details yourself. I'll give you 2 wishes and 1 gift, in light of your 21 years of life" he said.
'2 wishes and 1 gift huh...'
'Honestly, I don't want to be an immediate bad-ass. Bad-assery takes time to develop...Being overpowered'
"Please, while I do expect some sort of powerful wish. Do limit yourself, that's FINAL" he demanded.
'Alright, I will. So....' I decide to take a few moments to think about it.
I'm an anime lover in my previous life, especially fantasy magic tropes. And I always wanted to try that one...
'Okay. For my first wish, I wish to be born with a natural affinity to magic. Someone who can wield all sorts with little drawbacks'
"Easily done. The next?" he seemed to expect it.
'The second, I would like to be able to access Ryner's Tear Stigma with none of the weaknesses. Other than closing my eyes'
"Hmmm...I'm familiar with the character. Very well, handle with care".
'I will'
"It's time for you to pick your gift. Body, Mind, Knowledge, Power, or you could simply choose which parents you'd like to have"
'I choose Body. I wanna grow up with the body and face of Gilgamesh from the fate series' I almost say with pride.
"Interesting...You aren't scared that I would have strange creatures be your parents. Oh...well goodbye"
'Wait! Don't think of anything wei-'
And I was shunted away.
